About Me

My name is Gloria and I'm a pianist studying the Bachelor of Piano at the Conservatori Liceu in Barcelona. I've studied Piano and Flute simultaneously at the Conservatory of Culleredo in A Coruña, as well as receiving classes from Tatiana Prjevalskaya. I have years of experience giving classes of piano, flute and theory of music. I love pedagogy and I think that giving classes is an enriching experience for both the teacher and the student.

A young clarinetist and teacher, he graduated in Higher Education with a specialization in clarinet performance from the Conservatori Superior del Liceu, with Isaac Rodríguez as his teacher, and completed the first year of the Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education. My specialty is the clarinet, but I offer lessons in harmony, composition, musical analysis, musical language (solfeggio), piano and guitar.
In these years I have learned with students of all ages, from the youngest years to older adults, both in private classes and in music schools, and the result for everyone (including me) has been enjoyment and learning. The most important thing, I think, to be able to learn without dying in the attempt, is that there is a great understanding, and that is why I love that they ask me questions and everything is always clear, since music is not an easy discipline, but it deserves the grief. Hello! I've been teaching continuously for over 10 years, and I'd like to explain what you can expect from a class with me.

Personalized approach: The most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I will tailor the lessons to your needs: playing for pleasure at home is not the same as preparing for entrance exams (although always with the same rigor). Your goals will influence the methodology, the organization of your studies, the repertoire, and so on.

Relaxed (but rigorous) environment: Once you've defined your goals, classes will be dynamic and pressure-free. Note! "Relaxed" doesn't mean undemanding; we'll just avoid military methods—especially given my personality and sense of humor.

Music, not just notes: My methods are very dynamic, with a special emphasis on hearing and musicality. No "read, play, and turn the page." I avoid approaches obsessed with reading sheet music without memorizing, listening, or understanding what is being played. I want you to own your performance and make artistic decisions. Warning! I might even make you sing.

No stylistic barriers: Thanks to my training in Jazz and Modern Music, I give equal importance to all genres. Adapting to your tastes, we'll go from baroque to blues, from Haydn to bebop... or even Michael Jackson. Why not?

Hello everyone, I give private lessons in saxophone, music theory, composition, improvisation and piano rudiments.

My name is Beatrice, I am from Italy and I am 26 years old. I tell you a little about myself.
I trained as a classical musician at the Music School of Fiesole, Florence, on saxophone and piano. After a two-year experience at the CAM School of Music in Florence, in 2015 I moved to Valencia to carry out an Intensive Intermediate Jazz Workshop in the Sedajazz musicians' collective with the teachers Alexey León and Jesús Santandreu. I graduated in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation while doing musical projects with various Florentine groups, studying saxophone with Maestro Claudio Giovagnoli. In 2021 I came to Spain for the Master's Degree in Music as an interdisciplinary art of UB/ESMUC/URV. I graduate in September 2022 with thesis ''Music as a tool for the deconstruction of traditional binary power structures: a journey through gender, body and voice''. For the last year I have wanted to experiment musically with the EWI 4000s Electronic Wind Synthesizer. I am now attending a music production course on Ableton Live.

Piano lessons in Jazz, Classical, or Modern styles; depending on the student's interest, we can mix a bit of everything or delve deep into one style.

Main focus applied to overcome the problem of piano: mastering two-handed rhythm. To achieve this, I teach left-hand grooves and foundations while working on improvisation, harmony, melodies, accompaniments, and everything there is to play with the right hand. I introduce piano techniques such as walking bass, tenths, stride, drop 2, and more.

From my experience, rhythm, "Groove", and the connection with the music in the moment it is being played are the most challenging aspects to learn and integrate. Thus, I give significant emphasis to these topics in my sessions, especially those aimed at playing polyrhythmic instruments such as the piano.

I cover compositional tools, approaching Jazz Standards, accompaniment techniques, improvisation methods for any instrument, Blues tools, methods to strengthen the relationship with the instrument, analysis, and listening skills. In Barcelona Pierpaolo attends the ESMUC conservatory. "I am Pierpaolo, a professional guitarist with a Bachelor and Master's degree in Jazz Guitar (110 cum laude) and with experience studying other styles such as blues, rock, pop, funk, latin, fusion, flamenco. I have 10 years of experience as a teacher and have played at many festivals and events as a guitarist, in ensembles ranging from solo guitar to orchestra and big band.
