Trusted teacher: I am a graduate of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, with several years of experience as a teacher as well as a performer, and professional composer and arranger. I am passionate about music education and can offer tuition in guitar, music theory, songwriting and composition for all ages and abilities. In guitar lessons, I want to be able to give students the tools they need to be able to express themselves fluently on the instrument. We will work on technique and essential theory, but there will also be a big focus on playing songs and learning tunes, which I believe is essential to understanding the instrument. I am also able to offer lessons in music theory, from beginner level to advanced jazz and classical theory. If you need assistance preparing for an entrance exam or theory exam, or if you just want to expand your general knowledge, then I am able to help. Through the study and analysis of theory in the context of musical compositions, I am able to give you a solid understanding of how music works on a theoretical level, widening your understanding of music as a whole. If you want you expand your creative instincts, I can also offer composition and songwriting lessons. Whether you want to perform as a singer songwriter, arrange for big band, or write music for symphony orchestra, I can offer tuition which will give you the tools necessary to improve in these areas. I teach from home and I am also able to teach over Skype/Zoom. Feel free to get in touch if you are interested. Thanks!

Trusted teacher: Music is Play! and everyone is its own game. Understand and make only the music you like. If it isn't fun, it can't be music! I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music and playing synths, drum machines, and computers. It's longer than 5 years now! Electronic music is a very vast world. The possibilities are endless. But do you need to learn everything, or only what interests you to make the music you want to do? From listening and analyzing a song you like, we will go through the necessary knowledge for you to achieve it: - What do you need to build your home studio in order to create something similar? - Which instruments (or plugins) are being used. - Whether or not a knowledge of music theory is necessary. - And in which different ways / through which paths could you achieve something like what you desire? At the same time that we analyze and learn, you are also going to be encouraged to create! Practice makes the master, and the more you create, the more familiar you'll be with the tools and the environments that we learn in class. A part of the class is also going to be dedicated to listening to what you created and going through different ways we may improve it. For people interested in live electronics (live-processing an acoustic instrument or programming live sets), I also have knowledge of Max MSP and I can teach the basics or help you program any kind of device you propose. PD: I have also experienced imparting piano lessons, which is also a very important part of my professional practice. In case you are interested, it is also possible to mix the two worlds and create any kind of path between piano, synths, beats, and home studio techniques. Ask me anything, I'll tell you how I could help!

Trusted teacher: This class is for anyone, musicians or non-musicians, professionals or amateurs, who want to discover how to express themselves through music. I've had the unique opportunity to work as the orchestrator and conductor for the soundtrack of "Ice Merchants," a film that got an Oscar nomination, a first prize in Cannes and more than 100 international awards. Besides working in film, my journey in the realm of music composition has been rich and varied, composing music for solo instrumentalists, chamber ensembles or even opera or large orchestras. These experiences have enriched my understanding of music, and I'm eager to share these insights with you. In our lessons, you will explore various aspects of music composition: · Compose Your Own Music: Learn how to create music that resonates with you and your audience, regardless of your current skill level. · Find Inspiration: Discover diverse sources of inspiration to keep your compositions fresh and engaging. · Instrumental Possibilities: Gain a deeper understanding of different instruments and how they can enhance your music. · Personalised Compositional Toolbox: Develop a unique set of skills and techniques that reflect your individual style. You can choose to focus on areas such as: — Classical Music: Explore both traditional and contemporary classical composition. — Songwriting: Craft songs in a variety of styles. — Electronic Music Production: Dive into the world of electronic music across genres. — Music for Cinema and Video Games: Learn about composing for visual media — Music Installations and Generative Music: Experiment with innovative music technology, using softwares like Max MSP, Logic Pro X or even AI. The lessons will be more than just learning how to compose; they will be about discovering your unique musical identity and the fun of bringing it to life. Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to enhance your existing skills, I'm here to guide and support you on this musical journey.

Trusted teacher: My name is Pia, I am a professional harpist-singer, composer and arranger. My 8 year old daughter signed up for a singing contest at school with no experience or knowledge in music. We did get in touch with Pia and she was able to give a few singing lessons within a short period of time. Yesterday my daughter performed very successfully in the contest. Pia is not only able to teach singing, she also has the ability to motivate and inspire and she has definitely awaken the interest in music to our daughter. We are very happy that we have met Pia and hope to see her again.
