This class is for students of any age who wish to learn the transverse flute. Learning an instrument takes time and commitment, but it's hugely rewarding - and it doesn't have to be boring! I have experience teaching students of all age and levels and I specialise in tailoring my teaching to meet the individual needs of each student. Beginner flute lessons are suitable for students learning from scratch or those already playing up to about ABRSM Grade 2 level. In beginner flute lessons, you will learn the fundamentals of making a sound and play your first notes, as well as the basics of reading music. As lessons progress, you will learn your first short pieces and maybe even prepare for graded exams. Intermediate lessons are suitable for students already playing at about ABRSM Grade 3 to Grade 5 levels. In these lessons, you will build on what you already know to expand your abilities on the flute. You will learn more about different musical styles and techniques and develop more confidence to express yourself through music. Advanced lessons are for students already playing at about ABRSM Grade 6 and beyond. Depending on each student, lessons could involve growing more skills to take the advanced grade or diploma exams exams through to learning the skills to put together a recital programme or prepare for a music college audition. There is wide scope in these lessons to focus on your areas of interest, while still keeping an eye on the solid foundations of good flute technique and musicianship.

I offer 1-hour piano lessons for beginners and those who understand the basics and want to progress further. Together, we can explore reading sheet music, understanding chords, and developing memorisation techniques. I also teach basic improvisation, ear training, and how to learn and play popular music. If you're interested in formal qualifications, I can guide you through the ABRSM classical piano grades as well. Each lesson is tailored to your goals and what you want to achieve at the piano!

As a recent graduate of Mountview and having worked in the industry for five years, I would love to now share my passion for singing! I have been singing for twelve years now and have had many amazing opportunities as a professional vocalist. I started as a pop singer but, in recent years, I have turned towards musical theater. As a performer, it is very important to be able to sing different genres of music. Therefore, I am able to help my students in whatever genre they need through my experience and knowledge. Whether you want to sing the latest Olivia Rodrigo song or are a big fan of Les Miserables, I can provide you with guidance into getting the sound that you want. In my classes, I would like to give the student as much freedom as possible. The student can bring a song they would like to work on or I can suggest material. We will explore different methods and find out what works best for you! Dependent on the level and what the student wants from the lessons, we can also talk about the anatomy of body and why we use certain methods to reach those hard notes. My passion in singing is to help students sing the songs they want to without damaging themselves and in a safe and fun environment where making mistakes is encouraged! I can also provide tips and tricks for those looking to incorporate their acting skills into singing. My classes are open to all ages and levels. I have five years of experience working with children and teenagers through being an actor and workshop leader on Theatre In Education tours. Recently I started working as an after school drama club teacher and producer and realized how much I enjoyed sharing and working with others on the skills of a singer and performer.

As a singing teacher with an active performance career in classical/opera singing, I offer one-to-one singing lessons to students of all abilities and in all genres of singing. My Bachelors of Music degree and Masters of Music degree from the Royal Northern College of Music makes me a specialist in classical singing - this expands into Opera, Lied, English Song and French Mélodie. I have also trained in LAMDA Musical Theatre and performed with the National Youth Music Theatre in London's West End, adding Musical Theatre and Pop to my teaching repertoire. Grade 8 qualified with ABRSM, i will prepare students for both theory and singing exams. My lessons focus on implementing the techniques that that I have been taught by world renowned professionals and I base her pedagogy on the classical training that I've received from around the world. I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

The course that I propose is BILINGUAL FRENCH / ENGLISH, as well as 2 BOOKS. Age and musical taste are not restrictive when in the program, you can with qualitative daily work (not quantitative) quickly observe your progress. Here the pleasure of playing music is put forward. The kind of music you love most will be the focus of the course, their codes and secrets will be the focus of our study, that's what I want to share with you. Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

Hello! I've been teaching continuously for over 10 years, and I'd like to explain what you can expect from a class with me. Personalized approach: The most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I will tailor the lessons to your needs: playing for pleasure at home is not the same as preparing for entrance exams (although always with the same rigor). Your goals will influence the methodology, the organization of your studies, the repertoire, and so on. Relaxed (but rigorous) environment: Once you've defined your goals, classes will be dynamic and pressure-free. Note! "Relaxed" doesn't mean undemanding; we'll just avoid military methods—especially given my personality and sense of humor. Music, not just notes: My methods are very dynamic, with a special emphasis on hearing and musicality. No "read, play, and turn the page." I avoid approaches obsessed with reading sheet music without memorizing, listening, or understanding what is being played. I want you to own your performance and make artistic decisions. Warning! I might even make you sing. No stylistic barriers: Thanks to my training in Jazz and Modern Music, I give equal importance to all genres.
