Flute Lessons For Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced StudentsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Flute Lessons For Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced StudentsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

This class is for students of any age who wish to learn the transverse flute. Learning an instrument takes time and commitment, but it's hugely rewarding - and it doesn't have to be boring! I have experience teaching students of all age and levels and I specialise in tailoring my teaching to meet the individual needs of each student. Beginner flute lessons are suitable for students learning from scratch or those already playing up to about ABRSM Grade 2 level. In beginner flute lessons, you will learn the fundamentals of making a sound and play your first notes, as well as the basics of reading music. As lessons progress, you will learn your first short pieces and maybe even prepare for graded exams. Intermediate lessons are suitable for students already playing at about ABRSM Grade 3 to Grade 5 levels. In these lessons, you will build on what you already know to expand your abilities on the flute. You will learn more about different musical styles and techniques and develop more confidence to express yourself through music. Advanced lessons are for students already playing at about ABRSM Grade 6 and beyond. Depending on each student, lessons could involve growing more skills to take the advanced grade or diploma exams exams through to learning the skills to put together a recital programme or prepare for a music college audition. There is wide scope in these lessons to focus on your areas of interest, while still keeping an eye on the solid foundations of good flute technique and musicianship.

Guitar folk masterclass, backing songs and learning traditional songs.Translate this text using Google Translate.

I teach guitar with a strong foundation in Irish folk music, focusing on solid technique, rhythm and musicality. Lessons draw on traditional repertoire as well as contemporary songs, helping students develop good timing, tone and confidence on the instrument. Suitable for beginners through to intermediate players, with lessons tailored to individual goals. Beginner focused These guitar lessons are rooted in Irish folk traditions and designed to build strong fundamentals from the ground up. Students learn chords, strumming patterns, fingerstyle basics and simple tunes, with an emphasis on playing musically and comfortably. No previous experience required. Folk and song accompaniment Guitar lessons focused on folk style accompaniment, drawing heavily from Irish traditional and contemporary folk music. Students learn chord shapes, rhythm, fingerpicking and song based playing, with an emphasis on supporting vocals and storytelling through the guitar. More personal and artistic With a background in Irish folk music, my guitar teaching centres on feel, rhythm and connection to the song. Lessons explore traditional and modern folk approaches while building strong technique and musical understanding. Each class is shaped around the student’s interests and pace.

Elijah's Smart Violin Lesson (Cheadle Hulme, Manchester)Translate this text using Google Translate.

If you’re looking for a tutor to help you to learn a new skill/ rediscover playing the violin, or to help students to stay on track while we’re all at home, do get in touch! If you feel good, you play better! I like to approach each student individually, because we are all physically and mentally built differently. We all should leave a violin lesson feeling great! My teachers Mr. Ngai Ho Chau and Mr. Jeffrey Sit Pak Hong, have been my greatest influence when it comes to teaching. I like to approach each student individually, because we are all physically and mentally built differently. Most importantly, we all should leave a violin lesson feeling great! I have a 100% pass rate and my current sudents achieve a merit and distinction in the ABRSM performance grades1-8! A little about me: Born and raised in Hong Kong, my musical journey began at the age of five when I first picked up the violin. With the support of dedicated instructors, I built a strong foundation in technical precision and musical sensitivity, setting the stage for my future achievements. At the age of eight, I had the privilege of studying under Mr. Ngai Ho-Chau, the former concertmaster of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. His mentorship not only refined my skills but also instilled in me a profound appreciation for musical expression and the value of diligent practice. Driven by a desire to reach new heights, I earned my LTCL Diploma with Distinction from Trinity London College at eighteen, a milestone reflecting countless hours of dedication. This achievement motivated me to further deepen my understanding of the instrument. Seeking new perspectives, I pursued advanced studies under the renowned violin maestro Mr. Hwang Wei-Ming at Taiwan SooChow University. There, I immersed myself in the art of violin technique, interpretation, and performance, gaining invaluable experience collaborating with talented musicians. Over the years, I received scholarships to study violin at Taiwan SooChow University and California Baptist University. These opportunities enriched my musical experiences and allowed me to perform in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings. My journey includes performances with ensembles such as the Hong Kong Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, Hong Kong Pro-Arte Orchestra, Taiwan SooChow University Orchestra, and Taiwan Rong-Shing Chamber Orchestra, among others. These experiences continue to inform my approach to teaching, allowing me to provide my students with practical insights and real-world performance techniques. Previously, I taught GCSE Music at Hollingworth Academy and provided violin instruction at The Hathershaw College and Radclyffe School, where I developed a holistic and student-centered teaching approach tailored to each learner's unique needs and goals. Currently, I am dedicated to teaching SEND students at The Peak School, where I strive to create a supportive and calming environment. I often incorporate live violin performances to help my students relax and connect with music on a deeper level. Additionally, I work with private violin students, including young musicians from Manchester High School for Girls and Withington Girls’ School, as well as those preparing for music scholarship auditions at prestigious institutions like London Westminster School. Recently, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Manchester-based artist Emma for her exhibition, Monton in Bloom. This opportunity allowed me to share my music in a creative and inspiring setting.

Musical Theatre/Pop - Acting Through Song Lessons with a professional performer.Translate this text using Google Translate.

I am a Manchester based actress and I have been working professionally in the Musical Theatre industry for 10 years after graduating from Laine Theatre Arts in 2015. I have been lucky enough to travel the world as a Lead Vocalist and perform in several plays, pantomimes, musicals and commercials. I am super passionate about teaching others and getting the absolute best out of them. I truly believe encouragement and confidence is the key to success! I have taught Musical Theatre, Singing and Dance for over 15 years and specialise in acting through song. I love bringing my acting training in to songs and really thinking about the words we are singing and what we are trying to achieve through this, what is the purpose of the song etc - this is so important and can be transformational! I can also help with technique, warm ups and cool downs, vocal health and audition prep in either Pop or Musical Theatre. Also because I am still currently working in the industry I have first hand knowledge in what is happening at the moment and how things work. Whether you are a beginner and just want to try it out for fun or if you are looking for help with drama school auditions/ professional auditions then I can tailor the lesson to suit you :) Zoom classes or happy to teach at students house if based around the Manchester or Preston area.

I enjoy going to my lessons. Jack is friendly and patient, and takes the time to make sure I understand everything before moving on. Lessons are engaging and well-paced, which has really helped me to improve. I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn piano.

I had my first class with Matheus and I can say he is a very good teacher! Great didactics, took his time to help me with my hand position and open to teach me the kind of music I want to learn. Also, he is a super friendly guy. Definitely booking more classes.

Hugh has a lovely manner. He is very thorough. He taught me how to handle a flute properly so as not to damage it. He gave me exercises to improve the sound of my flute. He is very encouraging. I wish I’d had him as a teacher years ago!
