This means that the Bandoneon has a technique that is independent of any genre. This technique is not found by coping other instruments such as the organ or keyboard but through the development of the nature of the instrument. This is mainly the importance of the air and how it is affected by the pulling and the movement we make when we play. Of course Tango will be an important axis of the lessons as it very important for the development of the instrument and for specific techniques but Tango won't be the starting point as it's not the best pedagogical tool for learning the instrument. But no worries, we'll get there ;) Have you ever wondered how a Gregorian chant, Bach, Mozart & Chopin might sound in the bandoneon? The results might surprise as you would get a very different sound from the one you are originally used to. Also, we can try and use the bandoneon for different and new genres, who knows what we might discover from the instrument along the way?

Ai is a wonderful teacher. She's great at explaining all sorts of grammatical concepts and she's sweet with a good sense of humour to boot. I definitely recommend everyone who's interested in learning how to speak, write or read Japanese to consider taking lessons from her. If you're motivated and do the assigned homework, you'll make a lot of progress in a very small period of time. It's only been two weeks, but I already feel like my Japanese has improved considerably!

His way of using analogies to explain complex terms and make you understand difficult theoretical concepts in a much simpler way is truly impressive.
