Playing an instrument isn't a gift or a natural talent, it's a skill, like anything else. Anyone can learn to play an instrument, just as long as its something they really want to do!

Whatever pathway you want to go down, whether it be taking the grade exams and learning complex, elegant classical pieces, or if you're put off by the idea of having to read notation and would just like to to learn how to play/ the songs you love, and understand the inner workings of music, then I would love to help!

Some of my favourite artists include Jimi Hendrix, D'angelo, Erykah Badu, John Mayer, Royal Blood, James Blake, Lianne La Havas, etc. A lot of soul music mixed with jazz, hip hop, funk etc. But generally I enjoy almost everything, from Rock to Rap to classical.

Hi,

I'm Lucas, and I've been learning and playing music for around 15 years now. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Musicianship, specialising in Vocals, from the British Institute of Modern Music, as well as a Bmus qualification in Popular Music performance, specialising in Guitar.

I have 5+ years worth of experience with full-time private music tuition, with a diverse range of students of different ages and levels, so I understand the importance of keeping lessons fun and engaging, while also being challenging and realistic.

Whether its starting guitar at 6 years old, vocals at 12, piano at 15, or production at the age of 17, I know exactly what it's like to start at the beginning. This amount of experience gives me a great understanding of exactly what is valuable and necessary to facilitate rapid, achievable progression, and what is not.

My name's Luca and I've been a full-time professional musician for the past 10 years. I mainly work as a session musician and recording artist/producer, and also as a private guitar tutor.
My goal when it comes to teaching is to share my knowledge and passion for music and to help you improving and having as much enjoyment from it as I have for it.

I base my lessons on my student’s ambitions and on their weaknesses, so they can improve quickly and efficiently, without loosing interest on the instrument, and so they can reach their goals, giving them a personalised lesson plan, having fun and playing different styles and techniques. I taught voice at the University of Western Ontario and coached at Universities of Toronto, British Columbia and Montreal, and the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto), as well as at Tapestry New Opera, Soundstreams Canada and the Canadian Music Centre. Some of my students have gone on to perform at major opera houses, theatre festivals and professional choirs, while some have gained the confidence to sing a solo at their local church or community event. Some have completed their ABRSM or Trinity exams, or auditioned for conservatoire/university, which I help prepare them for. Seeing my students shine (both on stage and off) fills me with humble pride and fulfillment. I’m Paloma, I’m a film and videogame music composer, pianist and violist. I give classes in music language, music theory, harmony, and composition from classical to film, piano, and viola. My students are any age, any level from beginner to advanced. I will help with exams, GCSE, and A-Levels, as well as help students obtain their grade 5 theory to advance and take higher grades in composition or viola.

I started teaching when I was 17 years old. While I was studying viola and composition I would help colleagues learn Harmonic Theory for University exams or just for fun. Whilst studying, in order to support my learning abroad, I started teaching children and teenagers. The classes included a wide variety, from; supporting their studies during the school year, to their first approaches to music as well as nurturing love and excitement for playing and making music. After University I continued giving classes during the last few years.

The compositional strand of training if a student wishes to undergo it has many elements we will learn the theory needed to competently make music learn systems that allow us to break down composition as well as multiple genres. work they can do by themselves at their own pace, allowing each student to work and grow at a rate suited to their ability.
-Building a strong understanding of melodies and chords and how different instruments work and support each other.
-If they are studying in a formal educational establishment, they will receive support and guidance in regard to their work and exams.

When I am giving classes in music language, viola, piano... to children, I always try that the classes will be dynamic but at the same time incorporate a little bit of Theory. I utilised exercises that are designed to engage young developmental minds, like those you’d find on a children’s show. For example, singing, playing... songs allows us to train the ears and help them to begin to recognise the different registers, notes, rhythms and tempo. This was done alongside training on their chosen instruments, my aim was and is to nurture a language of music as well as give them practical skills and exercises they can do on their own. I play the piano and viola, so I always try to support them.

When it comes to classes for teenagers I teach them theory and practice as well as strong fundamentals but I also allow time to let them lead their learning to give them more agency, allow them to learn their favourite /contemporary songs. This keeps the passion for music alive. With teenagers, my approach centres on elevating and reinforcing what they learn from school using exercises and providing tools to break down ideas musically. In addition, I also prepare for GCSE and A-levels.

Lessons will follow a path of progression, teaching them how to approach the next levels of theoretical and practical competence. Allowing the students to understand their Progression and their path forward increases the likelihood they will continue studying.

Lessons are flexible, and curated on a student-to-student basis as well as making sure to incorporate what I believe they need to achieve the next level. This involves; practical music training, ear training, building on theoretical knowledge, as well as learning songs they love to ensure they feel fulfilled and have fun with music.

After teaching at top Private and State schools in the UK, I've just expanded my teaching business with 8 new slots for online piano students.

My teaching methods have proven effective with all age groups, from ages 6 and upwards. I've also spend significant time teaching adults and those with special needs.

Lessons focus on the needs of the student individually, and can be tailored to match any goal. Most students do tend to focus on the standard ABRSM exam route. But, I've extensively taught Rock, Pop, Jazz and musical Theatre to especially interested students.

Hi, I’m Hugh – a qualified and experienced musician with a Bachelor’s Degree and Honours in Music Performance and Production from The London Centre of Contemporary Music. With over ten years of experience as a guitarist and vocalist, I’ve had the privilege of performing across the UK in several touring bands. My musical journey has seen me perform in genres ranging from funk, indie, to rock.

As an enthusiastic and passionate teacher, I enjoy working with both children and adults to help them reach their musical goals. I understand that every musician is unique, so I always tailor my lessons to suit the individual needs of my students, ensuring that learning is both engaging and fun.

I believe that every student has their own way of learning and discovering music. I adapt my lessons to meet your needs and interests, keeping things enjoyable while ensuring progress. Whether you're into playing your favourite covers, writing your own songs, or just want to improve your technique, I’m here to help you grow as a musician.

I have been teaching music and guitar for decades, privately and in music schools, and my approach starts with the student and his needs. In my experience those needs, together with goals and expectations, change with time and I can help my students determine what they want to achieve and how to best get there. I also find that there isn’t one way that works for everybody and I enjoy creating space for students to explore what music and the instrument mean for them.
Please be aware that I am a working musician and in order to support my student while I do the profession, a degree of flexibility on times and schedule might be needed
