About Me

I've been playing for more than ten years, with two teachers: the first that gave me all the passion and free-spirit needed as soloist instrument, and then the second who make me work my pieces to their full potentials, allowing me to obtain all the diplomas with "excellent" marks.

Conservatoire of Rennes, Graduated of 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle with honors. I also took theatre, sewing and dancing lessons and got my high school diploma with mention as well.

Cello Lessons for all levels:
My main goal with my teaching is to share my passion for music with my students. I believe strongly that this passion leads to discipline and curiosity which benefit all other aspects of one's life. Whether or not my students decide to pursue music as their main profession, I believe they have much to gain from learning the cello. Besides the discipline one learns, Music-making in itself is fulfilling!! :)

Conservatory Preparation:
In my experience as a musician living and working in Belgium for the past 9 years, I have noticed a gap in the musical education of young Belgian music students transitioning from Music academies into Conservatories. Oftentimes, these young music students seeking to enter conservatories do not possess the necessary skill level to enter higher education in Music. Through my private teaching, I intend to bridge this gap by catering specifically (though not exclusively) to these students. I strongly believe that there is a huge demand for this type of teaching which I am capable of providing.

As a pianist and teacher, I have years of teaching experience at private and public schools throughout Croatia.
My main music education and training I got in Zagreb (Croatia) and Vienna (Austria). In 2020 I graduated in the discipline of the piano as 'Master in music' at the ‘Academy of Music’ in Zagreb.

I am familiar with performing the classical repertoire as well as modern 20th and 21st-century music. In 2020 I had been selected as a pianist to represent the composition of Belgian composer Gillis Sacré at a composition competition in Vienna.
In 2016 I took part in a euphony project and performed on a concert tour in Slovenia, Hungary, Austria and Croatia.

Later I further developed myself on numerous piano and chamber music masterclasses with pedagogues Ruben Dalibaltayan, Vera Vaidman, Andrea Padova, Ratko Delorko, Đuro Tikvica among others.

Between 2019 and 2022 I was connected as a professor at the ‘Ivan Matetić Ronjgov’ music school at the department on the island of Rab in Croatia.

Ruben is an international concert pianist who has performed in venues such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Flagey in Brussels, and the Rudolfinum in Prague.
