Depending on your interests, we can focus on technique, groove, repertoire, reading music, music theory, improvisation, coordination (like singing and playing at the same time), and more.

About Me

My name is Gianni and I am originally from Rome, Italy; I currently live in Basel, Switzerland, where I integrate several musical projects covering different genres such as jazz, pop and rock.

At that time, my musical career was mainly connected to the Swiss jazz scene; before that i mainly played in porto and northern portugal. 2022 comes with the release of “Dharma Bonds”, my first job as a bandleader; Recorded in July 2021 in the renowned studios of the OJM - Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos - it consists only of author themes and is one of numerous collaborations of the Portuguese music scene.
Also in early 2022, “Koinè” will be released, the debut album by the band of the same name, composed almost exclusively by Brazilian musicians, on which I played double bass, electric bass and tenor saxophone.
In Switzerland I integrate the quartet of Daniel Wong, an acclaimed Mexican pianist currently living in Bern, and the Italian-Swiss quartet "Mycelio" with whom I have played in Switzerland and Portugal.

I'm currently studying Jazz Performance at the Jazzcampus in Basel, with teachers like Larry Grenadier, Baenz Oester and Jorge Rossy.
Previously, I did my bachelor's degree in jazz double bass at ESMAE, Escola Superior de Musica and Artes do Espetaculo in Porto, Portugal, under the tutelage of musicians such as Demian Cabaud, Pedro Guedes and Paulo Perfeito.

I am singer, classically trained with a main focus in early music and voice embodiment. I also studied recorder, clarinet and musicology.

As a teacher and performer, I focus on a joyful, healthy and technically skilled way of singing. I focus not only on the sound production, but also on body posture, relaxation and organic movement. An happy and relaxed body creates a beautiful, natural and relaxed sound.
We choose the repertoire together and work together towards developing your voice, your expressivity, text and style interpretation at your fullest potential.

I have experience teaching several music genres, from classical, jazz, pop, folk music and even extended vocal techniques like growls. I am quite open to the students requests and always willing to research deeper and expand my vocal vocabulary.

Singing is a vulnerable, intimate and also communal act. Sadly, our modern world has mystified it into the sphere of the "born-talent" ideal, which often scares people from even trying to sing. I find this phenomena a cruel and exclusivist perspective on singing.

I consider singing an universal right, and we should all be unashamed of singing, be it in your bathtub, while walking on the street, in a dinner with friends, or in the next open stage at your local bar.

We all have the capacity and the right to sing.
If anybody has told you that you can't sing, they were wrong. Like any skill, you can learn it.
And if you sing, you, your body, and your soul will be happier.

One of my students once said: "You come for a singing lesson and you discover something new about who you are". I think that would summarize well the space I try to create in my lessons.

I am a musician and composer specializing in guitar and Jazz music, with experience in Rock and Pop, and in other musical genres. In my guitar lessons you will learn the basics of playing this instrument. You will learn to play traditional Rock and Pop songs and riffs, or Jazz songs as Standard or modern songs. You will learn scales and arpeggios that will be absolutely important for you to get closer to the concept of improvisation. Yes, you will learn how to improvise and write your own music!
For the more "advanced" we will go deeper into topics, such as the technique of the instrument, improvisation, the development of the melodic and rhythmic sense or your original compositions. My name is Sebastián, Argentine trumpeter, trombonist and composer based in Basel.

Since I was 18 years old I am working as a professional musician. I have worked in many educational institutions, such as EMC (School of Contemporary Music) Berklee International Network as Professor of Trumpet, jazz ensemble, and musical notation, in “Orquesta Juvenil del Sur,” an orchestra for underprivileged children, as a trumpet teacher at St Andrew's Scots School and as a private teacher.

Apart from my teaching experience I was selected to participate in the renowned Focusyear Basel program along with seven international musicians at Jazzcampus Basel during 2020/2021 and after the end of the program I decided to start a master in composition in the same institution. Already the first year I had the honor of being chosen to arrange music for the wind ensemble of the prestigious MIT University (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and also to write original music for the Jazzcampus Big Band. I graduated from the Jazz career of the Manuel de Falla Superior Conservatory of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina and I received an Honorable Mention from the National Endowment for the Arts from Argentina in Unpublished music in the Jazz category and I also released my first album released by the Chicago label, United States Ears & Eyes Records. In 2019 I was chosen as revelation musician by the Argentine media "El Intruso". I am also working as a producer recording in my home studio.
