Do you have a guitar sitting in the corner of your house that you always wanted to learn how to play, or do want to take your music-making to the next level? My name is Tiago, I'm a professional musician and I'm offering Guitar and Lute lessons in Basel.

I own a Master in Music Pedagogy and a Master in Performance, both attained at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. I have 12 years of experience teaching the Guitar and the Lute to students both young and adult, and I also regularly perform concerts in Switzerland and all around Europe.

I like to teach and play most styles of music, from classical music to Pop and Rock. It doesn't matter how much experience you have with your instrument, or music in general; I'm comfortable teaching both beginner and advanced students, and I do my best to suit the content of my classes to the student's musical interests, level, and availability. I also offer Music theory classes to interested students.

About Me

I love teaching as much as I love giving concerts and being a musician in general. Teaching an instrument is an immensely rewarding experience for me, as I learn at least as much as the student when imparting knowledge. It is also an engaging activity at a personal level; Seeing the happiness of a student when he's able to overcome his or her previous difficulties, and knowing that music making makes a huge difference in their own personal lives; these moments motivate me deeply and enrich my own life.

Hello,
Recently graduated with a double master's degree (master in pedagogy + master in performance) in violin at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel, I offer violin lessons.

My lessons are aimed at a wide audience of all levels (from beginners to 3rd cycle conservatory) and of all ages.

I can adapt to the needs and objectives of each student and, for example, offer additional musical training courses.

As a performing artist since 1997 with twenty years of teaching experience, I have earned the confidence to give you the skills and allow you to observe inwards as you refine them.

My unique method brings together elements from many styles, combining classical, pop, blues, jazz, and folk music into a very personal learning experience.

Singer trained at the Schola Cantorum of Basel (from medieval chant to the 20th century), I offer a general singing course: basic vocal technique (posture, breath work, sound work), discovery of different repertoires (depending on the student's tastes; pop repertoires also possible), work on interpretation. I can accompany the student on the keyboard. I work with people of all ages, beginners or not. The goal is to progress in a climate of trust.

You can also contact me for music theory lessons only (reading notes and rhythm, deciphering, notions of music theory, ear work).

I finally give piano lessons to beginners.

I can give the course in French or English, German and Spanish are also possible.

In my career, my life is frozen, my Lust, my Motivation, and my Ratschläge, my life is erroneous. Even though the settings are individual and personal, the programs are different.

Since I have been teaching violin and music, not a day has gone by without me saying to myself that motivation and pleasure are the greatest drivers of learning. This is why I always favor a relaxed and work-friendly atmosphere during my classes. Technique is of course of great importance to me.
I teach musical initiation, music theory and the viola which I practiced in chamber music and of course the violin, my main instrument with which I perform in several orchestras and ensembles.

My primary focus is on creating a personal connection and approach to the chosen instruments and to music in general. This includes (depending on your wishes, of course) your own musical expression, improvisation, songwriting (with lyrics if desired), song accompaniment and improvisation, as well as music theory and instrument-specific references.

Stylistically, the focus is on blues, rock, folk pop and world music, with strong references and influences from classical music, hip hop, electronic music and jazz.

Course for beginners and advanced students

My course focuses on the personal realtion between the individual, the chosen instruments and the music itself. This includes musical expression, improvisation, songwriting, songwriting, interpretation as well as music theory and specific aspects of the instrument.

My musical background lies between blues, folk, rock, pop and world music with influences from classical, as well as electronic music, hip hop and jazz.

Hello , I am an Argentinian/Italian pianist and composer currently in Basel for a master in Jazz Campus.

For the last 15 years I have been teaching private lessons and in music schools.

A passionate learner myself, I have recently graduated with a Masters from the Hochschule für Musik Basel in Specialized Performance (Improvisation). These diverse experiences are necessarily integrated into what I teach and how.
