Classical Piano, Music Theory and Composition with a Professional Musician

From 62 £ /h

I offer piano lessons that focus on the joy of music, learning the right technique and a psychologically constructive experience. I prefer to create an individual program for the student according to his wishes and goals. Overall, I aim to create a positive and calm environment for my students while teaching this complex and beautiful instrument.

I also offer lessons in music theory: preparation for music schools, general knowledge and understanding of music theory, or a deeper understanding of it - if the student wishes to go further. Music theory can consist of harmony, counterpoint, analysis of desired works, chords, intervals, ear training...

For those interested, I also offer the electronic tool Logic Pro, as I have been composing electronic music using this program for the last 5 years of my training. We can combine this aspect with music composition or focus on technical elements.

My goal is to create a considerate and respectful space where making music becomes a happy experience. I like to teach in German, English and Turkish.

I hope to hear from you and meet you soon!

About Me

Hi,

I have been studying music since I almost know myself. This all started with a fascination towards the piano, after starting to sing in the Turkish Radio Choir for Children. I desperately wanted to learn how to play the piano and now here I am. I have studied piano for a long time and then decided to add studying Composition to the equation as well.

One thing I learned while studying music is that this is a labor of love. Therefore I care deeply about my student's experiences and feelings while learning music. I try to create a supportive, positive, and kind environment for them to experience this in a healthy way. And I like to create a program according to my student's wishes and goals, that are specific to them.

I teach piano and keyboard skills with a friendly and encouraging approach. My students learn technical exercises and pieces/songs carefully chosen to suit each individual and I also incorporate relevant music theory. I teach on an upright acoustic piano at my place in Wedding and in some cases travel to the student for lessons.

I graduated in piano with the highest honors under the guidance of Maestro Roberto Corlianò. Later I worked in: Salzburg, Austria (as a piano teacher's assistant) and later in Italy and in the Netherlands as a piano teacher. I have had students from 4 to 75 and the lessons will be open to all those who want to approach this instrument for the first time or wish to deepen their knowledge. My approach is very free and is based on the needs of the student. I work exceptionally hard and am always open to finding new teaching methods. I try to understand students' weaknesses to reduce difficulties and their strengths to improve their skills. Currently I am teaching piano at Musikschule Behm, Bertheau & Morgenstern, in Potsdam.

👂 My motto for teaching music: Learn with your ear, before understanding it with your brain.

Music can be explained entirely from a theoretical point of view 🤯. But I'm convinced that the best approach is to feel and sing the music 🎤💖, before understanding and interpreting it theoretically.

I teach music theory intuitively 💫. More than just a way of reading sheet music, I can show you how to deconstruct a piece of music in any genre, how to interpret chords, and how to improvise simply and effectively.

Piano lessons for children from 4 years old, teenagers and
Adults. Lessons take place at your home, in
any Berlin district, or online upon request.

HOW I TEACH
Clean technique is the foundation, but it's not just about playing it.
What you really want to hear. Film scores, pop and classical music.
They are not mutually exclusive, and motivation arises precisely where
Both things come together. With children, I work patiently and with
a clear structure, so that practice actually takes place at home.

THE FIRST HOUR
First, we find out what you or your child really play.
would like to. After that, we'll look at the instrument, the posture,
The hands. At the end of the first hour, you played something.
even for complete beginners.

FRAME
Fixed weekly appointment, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. A piano.
Or a keyboard for practicing is sufficient to begin with. Travel time and
Preparation time is included in the price.
