About Me

Having been an active musician for the last 15 years, I have discovered the passion for teaching and have been developing it since. I relocated to the UK after BA(Hons), I've performed both as a leader and a collaborator at major jazz venues including Queen Elizabeth Hall, Cadogan Hall, Ronnie Scott's and more. Passionate about social change, I played an important role in developing Female Collective an educational programme aimed at female musicians, by Tomorrow’s Warriors. As an arranger and a tutor of the group, I led the Front-line on various festivals such as Wilderness, Love Supreme, We Out Here, EFG London Jazz Festival. I am eager to assist you through your musical journey and help you meet your goals, be it passing the exams or playing in a band.

Personal description:
I am a professional classical musician, with a master’s degree in flute playing and years of experience playing solo, chamber music and with orchestras internationally.
I offer Flute and Music Theory lessons to children and adults of all ages, skill levels (grades 1 through 8 and beyond). Also I offer Piano lessons for beginners (grades 1 and 2).

Tutoring experience:
I have worked in the National School of Arts “Prof. L. Pipkoff” Sofia, Bulgaria. My class had children of different ages and mastery of the subject. I prepared them for national exams and concert appearances. I’ve also given privet lessons.

Tutoring approach:
Since every pupil is different, I believe that a good teacher always adjusts his methods to the needs and personality of his student. I strive to provide a structured and clear lesson, while focusing on music as something to be enjoyed. I work with the requirements of the grade system (from grade 1 to grade 8). In the process the child will learn: Instrumental techniques, music literacy, correct breathing and ear training.

I studied on the Jazz course at Leeds College of Music for my undegraduate degree, and recently completed an MA in Performance at the School of Oriental and African Studies(University of London), achieving a distinction.
As a musician I primarily play Folk/World Music/Jazz. However, I trained classically before atttending music college and am available to take students through classical grades/repertoire if desired.
All ages and abilities are welcome, Trinity Guildhall/ ABRSM syllabus can be covered, I am also fully DBS checked.

With over fifteen years experience, I specialise in teaching flute, piano and theory to students of all ages and levels. I enjoy getting to know each student personally and honing in on what makes them excited about learning music.

I am also a freelance flutist, playing regularly with orchestras, and chamber ensembles in London, Europe and Australia.

I have vast experience teaching in schools and universities, regularly preparing students for performances, Trinity College of Music examinations and music college auditions. I hold my BMusPerf Hons degree with First Class Honours in Flute Performance and my AMusA, LMusA and LTCL diplomas.

I am happy to travel to students for a small fee.

Practicing doesn't always sound pretty and is vital to test the waters in order to improve, I want to make you feel comfortable and open to possibilities and then that's when good things happen.

Whether you are starting from the beginning or you are a more experienced player looking to sharpen-up your playing, I am more than able to find a way to work with you based on what you wish to accomplish! Born in Edinburgh, I graduated from King's College London in 2019 with an undergraduate degree in musicology. I attained my Flute Diploma (ABRSM) with distinction, and am continuing my studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 2021. I am the winner of the British Flute Society's Young Artist Prize 2020 and the Guildhall Needlemakers' Prize for Woodwind 2020.
