Currently teaching the piano, the flute, and phonics in my spare time:) I enjoy interacting with people from various backgrounds. More importantly, I really enjoy guiding and empowering my students in their pursuits with a positive learning attitude, in so doing also boost their confidence.

I completed the Music Theory Grade 5 exam at age 10. Attained ABRSM Grade 8 for the piano and double bass at ages 11 and 15. Attained LTCL for flute at age 14. In terms of work experience, I have worked in various cities, London, Oxford, Shanghai, Hong Kong (hometown) using various languages. Naturally, I have an upbeat, cheerful, enthusiastic personality. Having worked at various startups, I also encourage an empowering and proactive leadership/teaching style. I am flexible, comfortable, and versatile. Cantonese is the spoken Chinese language used in Hong Kong and several provinces in China. It is not an easy language but it is very useful especially for those of you who are looking to further your career or development in Hong Kong, a glamorous international city. Born and bred in Hong Kong, I am native in this language and I will be able to teach my beginner students basic words, strokes if needs be, the 9 tonalities, and the pronunciation of every new word. We'll start with words, and then vocabularies, and further, grammar, sentence structure to formulate simple sentences. My teaching style is casual. I believe that practicing is the key to perfecting any skills not least languages, and I am passionate about having intriguing conversations with people from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
Learning how to play the piano is not only musically enriching as it is one of the easier instruments to pick up if you are new to music, giving you a solid base of musical understanding, but also will boost your confidence in general being able to recognise pitches with multiple voicings as we work up the grades. I adopt a goal-oriented teaching style: - we will work through ABRSM grades -- breaking down the work needed to master all the way from scales to exam pieces to aural to sight reading.
Nailing pronunciation is important in learning a language. I am going to teach you English phonics, including accurate word pronunciation + breakdown, and how to read phonetic symbols in International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). My classes are chill and casual - developing a passive income source. Happy to schedule a call to brief you what you'll learn!

TURKISH REED FLUTE, NEY, NAY LESSONS FOR BEGINNERS
Turkish reed flute is an essential instrument of Turkish Classcial Music. It has a deep and dense culture dating from 13. century around. If you want to learn about how to perform it you first need a teacher educated by masters on this field. As of many teachers you can find online but you make sure that not every tutor meets with traditional style. Solfege and method are inseperable parts of the lessons. So for beginners and intermediate students must follow a compotent tutor to learn about the way of classic form.

Flute and Music Theory tuition for students of all levels
I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

Flute, recorder (individual) or music theory lessons (individual or groups)
I am a music teacher by profession and have had experience teaching flute, piano, recorder as well as subject music (including theory, music history and music in film study) at a prestigious high school in South Africa. I received my BMus degree at the Nelson Mandela University in the Eastern Cape and received tutelage from Dr Erica Bothma and Dr Erna Cloete. I can teach flute and recorder up to an advanced level, and piano from beginner to a grade 5 level. I am also able to teach music theory up to a grade 5 level. I can provide both structured lessons with the goal to play/write an exam, or provide lessons just to learn for the pleasure of playing an instrument. Each pupil will be treated for their individual needs and desires. I can offer my lessons in English and/or Afrikaans. Unfortunately I do not have a piano in my home yet. I have always had a love for music and have wanted to share that love with the world. I look forward to hearing from you!

Flute lessons - custom learning experience for all ages and levels
One of the things I love most about teaching is building a custom learning experience for each student. No matter what your interests are, I will help you improve your flute skills and learn to play the music you love. My lessons range from preparing orchestral excerpts for an audition to transcribing and arranging you favorite video game music for the flute. I also believe that it’s important to share your music with the world, so I’d be more than happy to help you find opportunities to play with other musicians and perform. My students have performed at music programs such as the Los Angeles Youth Orchestra, Idyllwild Orchestra Camp, the John J. Cali School of Music, and the Flute Center of New York.
