I’m an experienced guitarist and I can help those of all abilities and ages looking to learn the instrument or develops their skills. I’ve been playing for 16 years and I’m well versed in most genres and styles of music. Open to all stages of learning whether you want to focus on fundamentals and guitar theory or develop your own style and technique. I can support anyone looking to gain knowledge of harmony, chord melody, soloing, popular and unconventional song structure and style. Or if you want to learn other songs and build up your repertoire. My musical background is primarily as a jazz guitarist, specialising in improvisation and composition. This is something I can work on with students once core skills are acquired. I can also help get students get up to speed with their grade exams and offer musical theory support. Aside from my experience as a guitarist, I play in different bands as a Writer and composer. I have experience as a recording artist at Abbey Road studios and I can teach students about song writing and composition. I’m fluent on music softwares such as Logic Pro X and Ableton and offer Music Production and Recording technique classes at my own studio in Clapton East London. My name is Marat and I am a London-based pianist, musicologist and composer with more than 20 years of experience. I am also a dedicated and experienced piano, composition, music theory and music technology tutor offering excellent and in-depth tuition for any age or ability. I have been teaching extensively in schools and privately, and giving lectures at universities. I would be happy to share my passion and enthusiasm for music with you! My musical path started at Moscow Jurgenson Music School in Russia at the age of 7 where I took my first piano and music theory lessons. After 8 years of full-time studying I graduated with distinction. In 2015, I graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London specialising in classical and contemporary performance (under Andrew Zolinsky) and music education. Recently, I have completed my masters programme at Goldsmiths, University of London specialising in contemporary musicology (under Keith Potter) and music management. Since 2012, I have been performing and premiering contemporary classical music solo or with ensembles at various venues and events, including IKLECTIK, Arebyte Gallery, Sound Festival, Southbank Centre, Cheltenham Music Festival and Teatro Baltazar Dias (Madeira, Portugal). I am a core member of the New Maker Ensemble, a group dedicated to experimenting with various art forms of new music and performance art. I regularly write articles and album reviews about new music. I have given lectures and presentations on new music at various conferences and events, including the Gnesin Contemporary Music Week 2020, 2021 and 2022, the Gnesin Academy and ZIL Culture Centre. And I even have my own podcast about new music. Tuition is open for both online and in-person classes. All ages and abilities welcome: from age 5 to adult learners, beginner to advanced. I teach from my flat in Surrey Quays, but can also travel to my students, in which case a travel fee will be added to the standard rates. I am a composer and violinist with 13 years of professional experience in the music industry. I am passionate about helping people of various abilities find their own musical voice, and although the violin is the instrument I specialize in, I am equally keen to help people who want to improve their improvisational and music writing skills (such as Logic/ Sibelius and Songwriting). Together we can design a path of learning whereby you define your own personal goals and I help you to fulfill them.

I specialise in tutoring in music theory, music composition, and "classical" vocal lessons. My focus is to personalise each lesson to the students' needs and be supportive in the areas needed for development. I will provide progress reports as well as post-lesson instructions on what to work on for the following lesson.

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student. The lessons (live or online) take place in my studio next to the Maastunnel, where I have a premium stage piano and a top-quality webcam setup. I speak Dutch at an intermediate level, which is improving every day.

The older I get, the more I love. Especially during these times of immense ugliness and hate, wars and conflict, music- that's always been all about love - is the home I keep returning to. To me, mentoring someone is all about sharing the love for the instrument, thirst about the material, desire to explore new musical paths and respect for whatever happens whilst playing. Not only we will explore technical paths and understand rhythm under a totally different light but also communicate through improvisation and modal principles. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.
