Learn the most common chords and be able to play your first song after just 1 lesson! You will build a solid foundation in guitar playing through carefully selected songs that you get to choose from. Once you get the hang of the fundamentals, you get to tell me which songs you want to learn during our lessons to expand your skills and become more proficient, and I will teach you how to read and play your favorite songs like a master! After learning the more common chords and basics of guitar playing, you will learn about strumming patterns, finger picking, and tabs through the songs of your choice. Alternatively, if you would like some extra advice on performance techniques then I can help. Perhaps you are struggling with your composition tasks - that is my speciality. Then there is the analysis of a piece of music that can be so confusing that we could spend some valuable one-to-one time on. I am here to help and below are some reasons why I am well suited to give you the appropriate advice that you need. I worked in a comprehensive school teaching music for over 35 years. In that time I engaged with many different exam boards at GCSE and A level delivering a range of different courses. This experience and my passion for all aspects of music, whether it be performing, composing or listening and analysis enables me to give you the right advice. In oriental singing, we will learn: Vocal Techniques: Exercises to strengthen and improve the voice, with an emphasis on breathing techniques and larynx control. Oriental Performance: Learn how to perform famous oriental songs, paying attention to the tones and subtleties that characterize Arabic singing. Control of vocal pitches: Develop the ability to move between vocal pitches easily, whether in high or low melodies. Let's start our musical journey together! Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...). For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...). Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques.
