Morgan has been a finalist twice at the WAAPA Warana Concerto Competition in 2016 and 2018 and was a prize winner at the 2019 Melbourne International Guitar Competition. In August 2019 he played a series of concerts in Perth and Bridgetown for the W.A. Classical Guitar Society and the Bridgetown Guitar Festival.
Morgan began his studies at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2014 with Dr Jonathan Paget. Prior to completing his Bachelor of Music degree in 2018, Morgan was engaged as a student of Judicael Perroy, at the Conservatoire Rayonnement de Aulnay-Sous-Bois during the 2016-2017 academic year, and then at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music during 2017-2018.

My students learn technical exercises and pieces/songs carefully chosen to suit each individual and I also incorporate relevant music theory. The guitar is undoubtedly one of the most popular instruments of the modern age. It is so versatile and used in many genres ranging from classical music to Death Metal and even Electronic Music.

I will teach you the basics of playing the guitar, and I'll spice it up later with my experience in composition and songwriting. We will learn by example through the famous songs that shaped our understanding of the guitar. Whether you prefer singer-songwriter-style songs, or thrash metal we'll get there together.

I will teach mainly using the guitar tablature format, we can do sheet music which is generally unneeded for anything besides classical, but I will need to refresh my music sheet reading skills as I haven't had to read any in the last 10 years.

I am an experienced and enthusiastic guitar tutor from Leeds, England, living in Berlin. I have a bachelor’s degree in jazz guitar from Leeds College of Music although I also play and teach rock, pop, funk, folk, and indie music.

I'm a former New York City voice teacher/coach, professional singer and an award winning composer who has relocated to Berlin. I've taught with the most reputable children's musical theatre organizations in NYC with students of all ages as well as private students and I've worked with Broadway stars such as Laura Osnes, Karen Mason and Ron Bohmer, who have also recorded my music, and I'm excited to bring my 20 yrs of teaching experience to Berlin!
