Hello!

I am Celia, a professional saxophonist and singer. I am offering individual (online or face-to-face) lessons in Saxophone, Singing, Improvisation, or Music Theory. I have seven years of experience as a teacher.

In my lessons, I adapt completely to the needs of the student, regardless of their age or level.

Depending on what you want to improve or what you are willing to learn, I will design the sessions specifically for you. Any style you'd like to explore or improve will be welcome (both in singing and saxophone).

I have a Bachelor's degree in Classical Saxophone and a Master's of Music degree in New Audiences and Innovative Practice (with both vocals and saxophone).

The styles I have more experience with are:

· Saxophone: classical, contemporary, experimental music, jazz and Latin music.

· Singing: pop, Latin, jazz, R&B and soul.

(but we will focus on any style you'd like to explore more)

I love working with children, and I also have experience teaching music (musical initiation) to children from 3 to 7 years old.
Extra information
Bring your own saxophone (for the saxophone lessons), and willingness to learn!

About Me
Besides being a saxophonist and singer, I am also a composer and have a strong interest in improvisation. Moreover, I believe in the power of music to create a better world and society, which is why I am deeply interested in using music as a means for social transformation.

Currently, in my career as a saxophonist, I am focusing on experimental/improvised music, Latin music, and jazz. On the other hand, in my career as a singer, I am delving more into Latin music as well as exploring more experimental and fusion genres.

My lessons are highly dynamic, and I will strive to convey the passion I have for music to you.

Are you passionate about singing and ready to take your skills to the next level? Whether you're a beginner or an experienced singer, I’m here to guide you on your musical journey!

I'm Keith, a professional jazz singer, composer, and educator with over 12 years of experience. I hold a degree in Jazz Vocals from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, where I graduated in 2022. Before moving to the Netherlands, I spent six years as the resident artist with an acclaimed a cappella theater group in Hong Kong.

My extensive background includes coaching amateur a cappella groups, teaching vocal lessons in Hong Kong’s secondary schools, and providing choir lessons at the European School The Hague since 2021. My diverse experience ensures that I can help you refine your singing abilities, regardless of your current level.

Each lesson is tailored to your individual needs, ensuring steady progress. Here's what we can work on together:

- Vocal Techniques: Enhance your breath support, warm-up routines, dynamics, articulation, and explore a range of tone colors.
- Interpretation & Expressiveness: Learn how to convey emotion and tell a story through your performance.
- Jazz Improvisation: Unlock your creativity and develop your improvisational skills in jazz.
- Stage Presence: Build confidence and polish your performance skills for the stage.
- Music Theory, Solfège & Ear Training: Strengthen your foundational knowledge to become a well-rounded musician.

I conduct lessons in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and a little Dutch, making them accessible and comfortable for a wide range of students.

If you’re ready to transform your singing, or if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s make music together!

As a vocal instructor, I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in assisting singers of all levels, from beginners to advanced, in achieving their full singing potential.

My approach is personal and tailored to the unique needs of each student. I am skilled in teaching vocal techniques, expanding vocal range, and harmonies. Additionally, I do not only focus on the technical aspects of singing but also on the art of conveying emotion and meaning through music.

- Vocal Technique: Learn essential techniques to maximize your voice, including breathing techniques, tone formation, and vocal control.
- Repertoire: Build a diverse repertoire and explore your creativity and expression.
- Improvisation: Work together to develop improvisation skills.
- Range Expansion: Increase your vocal range and explore new heights in your singing performance.
- Harmony Singing: Strengthen your skills in harmony singing and learn to sing together in perfect harmony.
- Stage Presence and Confidence: We work on building confidence on the stage, enabling you to captivate your audience. Learn how to convey the meaning of songs and improve your overall stage presence.
- Group Lessons: Enjoy the power of collective learning and singing.

I began studying classical piano and music theory at the age of six, which gave me a strong foundation in musicianship from an early age. Later, I completed a bachelor's degree in World Music with Ottoman Singing as my main subject, allowing me to go beyond the basics and offer additional expertise in areas such as makam theory and microtonal singing. I also hold a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, which helps me approach teaching with both creativity and structured thinking. My interdisciplinary background has taught me to embrace diversity and think outside conventional boundaries — something I aim to bring into every lesson.

I strongly believe that everyone can sing, and there is no such thing as a dissonant voice. Together, we can unlock your voice and help you sing your favourite songs with confidence and passion. Come and discover the power and beauty of your own voice, and let's make music together.
