Do you want do learn how to play the piano? Jazz or classical? Piano, harpsichord and keyboard lessons!

I started playing the piano when I was 8 years old. By that time I already could feel I would become a professional musician and teacher. I got my first bachelor in piano in 2007. When I was 13 years old, I started having harpsichord lessons and expanding my knowledge of classical and early music. In 2012 I got my bachelor degree in harpsichord and in 2014 my master degree at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. Currently, I’m working with my ensemble, teaching piano and harpsichord, and am now doing my Ph.D. in Performative Arts at Leiden University

I absolutely love to teach and pass my experience as a musician to my students on both instruments. I like to see them improving and have fun while playing.
I work with several ways of teaching, depending on the student level and music background.

Normally I work with piano methods with kids from 9 -12 years old. I can teach music theory if necessary and if it will improve the student’s needs to progress and reach their goals, I do that with pleasure. Harmony and a bit of keyboard improvisation are also very welcome to the class.

My specialty is classical music, more specifically, baroque music, although I have notions of pop, jazz, and improvisation. Because I have sporting and personal training backgrounds, I’m specialized also on correcting postures and eventually avoid or solve pain issues when regarding playing.

Joao is very kind and friendly. He knows a lot about music and how to teach it. I have immediately noticed that he connects quickly with the student, he does not waste a minute, he makes you pay attention and interest, but he does not overwhelm you by demanding more than necessary. A very good teacher is found in that balance.

Over João R. Hello everyone! My name is João, piano and harpsichord player. I started playing the piano at the age of 7 years old and, since then, I completely fell in love with all the keyboard instruments and its possibilities of expressivity, the clear sense of making music, interacting with other musicians, for my own pleasure, and for the others. The harpsichord came in my life when I was 15 years old. I absolutely love Classical and Baroque Music and as well as Jazz and Pop. I started teaching piano at the age of 20 and I must confess that it became a great passion in my life! I love to see my students improving, getting acquainted with different music styles and motivated. I'm skilled in teaching kids and adults, beginners or experienced with the keyboard and/or music theory. Therefore, I use different methods, according to the student's needs and expectations. Each student is special so a lesson can differ, depending on the student's level. Normally, I start with warming up and technical exercises (posture is very important!), a brief music theory contextualisation of what is going to be approached in the lesson and, most importantly, have fun and provide a nice atmosphere during the lesson. I've graduated in piano and harpsichord at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2007. In 2012 I've graduated in harpsichord at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, obtaining my Master degree at the same institution in 2014. Currently, I'm doing my Ph.D. studies in Performing Arts at Leiden University/Orpheus Instituut Gent. I teach theoretical music studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and, eventually, accompany and coach students from the Young Talent Music Department. In 2014 I've founded the Baroque Music Orchestra Le Concert d'Apollon, taking the lead of harpsichord player and music director. If you are willing to learn how to play the piano or continue your studies, it will be a pleasure for me to show you how learning a keyboard instrument has so much to add in your life. I can give lessons at my studio in The Hague or travel to your destination. I look forward to meeting you and guide you through the wonderful world of music!

Violin Lessons for children, adults, or anyone who wants to learn the violin!
I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training, I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory classes for 6 years because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

Guitar, Mandolin, Music Theory lessons by enthusiastic tutor and performer
Enthusiastic guitar tutor and performer. I started playing classical guitar at the age of 6, and my formal musical education began at the age of 9 when I started attending a music school in Croatia. After 6 years of primary school, I continued studying classical guitar at a secondary music school in Varazdin, Croatia. During that period I received training in classical harmony, Counterpoint (polyphony), Solfeggio, Music history and gained plenty of experience in orchestral playing and choral singing. I decided to continue my musical education in Manchester where I was studying for an undergraduate degree at the Royal Northern College of Music and currently I am studying at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague. As a performing guitarist, I have successfully participated and won prizes in a number of international competitions in the UK, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Hercegovina. Although my studies are primarily related to classical music, I am comfortable playing and performing music in a range of other styles and genres. I am also experienced with mandolin and Croatian folk instrument called tamburitza.

Experimental electronic music composition / Free improvisation (theory & practice)
Experimentation is an inherent characteristic of electronic music. Nowadays, composing music using technology creates endless creative possibilities that demand the musician/composer to adapt to numerous technical and artistic challenges. Do you like experimenting with sound and making music that does not clearly belong to a particular genre or style? Interested in bringing a fresh perspective and out-of-the-box thinking to your music production? Are you just starting out in electronic music composition and wondering how to develop your own style? This course is just what you need. In this class, you will learn: - how to transform sound using analogue and digital techniques. - how to create sound structures and organise them in a DAW enviroment to compose a piece of music. - how to record, edit and mix sounds using both conventional and experimental techniques. - how to use improvisation in both the context of live performance and composition. - about the theory and practice of free improvisation. - about the history and origins of electronic music and how it affected the music we listen today. - how to document and communicate procedures related to your artistic practice. - how to create an artistic portfolio. Aspiring musicians with a background in any genre can take advantage of this course. A formal education in music or experience with electronic music composition are not required to follow. However, you should be unafraid of experimenting with sound and music technology! Each class is customized to meet the needs of the individual student in an innovative and flexible way! The course can also serve as a preparation for applying to several Dutch educational programmes related to electronic music composition (Institute of Sonology, HKU, ArtEZ, etc.). The class is focused on small assignments that help the student develop a sense of orientation and set goals. Recording, editing, and mixing will be done via the DAW "Reaper," but we can switch to your preferred software at any time. We will use the first lesson to discuss your background, interests, and motivations in order to develop a course structure that is tailored to your needs.

I obtained my Jazz Music Master's program at the Prince Claus Conservatoire of Groningen in June 2022. Previously, in 2018, I graduated from my music Bachelor's at the Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceu in Barcelona (Spain).

Piano and Keyboard lessons with music teacher from beginners to advanced.
A little bit about me: I’m a Spanish girl with a Bachelor's degree in piano. Living in The Hague right now, I can go to your home. I’ve teaching piano for a few years. I adapt my classes to the level of the student and their needs. I can teach in Spanish and English.

Javier
Music for everyone! Recorder (blockfluit) lessons.
Highly dedicated and passionate teacher. Age does not matter when it comes to learning, just enjoying it. Lessons for beginners to more advanced students. Always trying to keep a creative environment where the students can express themselves in all aspects. I believe that it is necessary to be constant. The ideal would be one hour or hour and a half a week, but that depends on the student availability. I would provide a personal adaptation. I like playing games, singing and coming up to most creative solutions for learning fast inside of a save space for questions and imagination of the student. It is very important to motivate the students regarding to their music tastes. I consider myself an involved and motivated musician. I am constantly trying to learn new styles and enjoy so much doing it. At the moment I am studying my second bachelor degree in music, specifically in Early Music. I am very flexible with schedules for lessons so coming to a common point should not be very difficult.

Janire
Horn, music theory and piano classes for beginners.
Highly dedicated and passionate teacher. Age doesn't matter when it comes to learning, just enjoying it. Lessons for beginners to more advanced students. I like to play, sing and find the most creative solutions to learn quickly within a space reserved for the student's questions and imagination. As a musician I consider myself a very motivated person to always try new things. I also like to play from old music to contemporary music, so any style is welcome to try. During my Bachelor's training in Classical Horn I have trained in different educational skills techniques as well as in teaching ensembles and basic conducting. In addition to horn classes, I can also teach music theory and basic piano skills. I am very flexible with lesson times, so reaching a common point shouldn't be too difficult.

With this course you will get a better understanding of the components of a synthesizer, learn the fundamentals of some of the most known and recognizable effects and learn some basic notions of programming. Max uses a visual approach to programming, meaning you do not have to right codes to make your own plugins, instead you connect blocks that each have a specific function into an interconnected network that make a functioning instrument or effect. By learning how to make your own plugin you will also gain a better understanding of how digital audio works, making you more aware of what your are doing in Ableton and more efficient.

Singing lessons for all levels - voice - breath - body
I'm offering singing lessons for all levels and ages. Together we will explore your voice and build a healthy vocal technique. Hi, my name is Eva. I'm a classically trained singer with a bachelor's degree in singing from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. I love to learn and research about voice. In my lessons, I pay attention to vocal technique (breath, phonation, resonance, articulation) and body movement. Our whole body is our instrument, so I like to incorporate exercises from different sources like Tao Face Yoga, Yoga, Qigong etc. Structure and consistency are important, but on the other hand, singing is also all about playfulness and spontaneity. So I try to keep that balance in the lesson. But the most important to me is that I create a warm and safe environment where students feel safe to open up and dare to express, feel, and explore their voices. Our voice is not only a tool to express, but have also positive effects on our hormones and nervous system. So singing is not only fun but also good for you!
