I’ve taught people of all ages and helped my students reach performance and exam goals, with a teaching style that emphasises love of music, curiosity, thoroughness, and fun.

I'm a professional composer and pianist, graduated from Music at Cambridge with a starred first, starting a Composition masters in London autumn 2022. At university I had works performed and workshopped by noteworthy musicians such as Judith Weir.

I specialise in teaching music composition, production, and piano. I have a BA from the University of Oxford in Music, and I am a professional TV and Film composer. I am also able to teach music theory, history, and ear training.

For beginners: songs, games, improvisation, creation. The links with song and rhythm are very important to have a healthy foundation. The musical notions are approached gradually by experience then by recognition. Reading and writing are brought about by creation and musical composition.

For the more experienced, polyphony and difficult passages can be approached with different tools, by awareness of harmony and melodic modes and polyrhythm. Sometimes it is enough to be aware of simplicity to overcome difficult passages.

I push to go further in the quality of the interpretation with simple means to better understand the music and thus allow more expressiveness and freedom.

I also offer improvisation, harmony,
lessons in musical ensembles, especially vocal polyphony for children, and lessons for specific needs, for example just intonation for singers or other instruments.
