About Me

Hello! My name is Masha and I’m a Slovenian violinist studying at the Royal College of Music in London. I’m offering individual and small group violin lessons for students of all levels and ages. We will work towards goals we set together and adjust the course of lessons to your needs and wishes. Whether that is introducing the first steps into the music world to our youngest, working on serious violin repertoire and orchestra excerpts or simply following your teacher’s instructions and practicing together. One of the parts of teaching I most enjoy is the variety of my students’ backgrounds and finding an individual approach that works best for each student. Two keywords form the base of the singing technique I teach: relaxation and engagement. Inspired by the Alexander technique, we need the body to be completely free from any muscle tension before and after producing a sound. Then, to create a sound of quality, the body also needs to be engaged and free. By releasing all the unnecessary tension, you will be able to sing all the arias of your dreams. I will give some weekly exercises in singing and music theory and we will correct them together during the lesson.
