Philosophy: its History and its Conceptual Structure

I have taught Philosophy at the Italian state grammar schools for decades. Now I am attending a PhD at KCL.
In my class I both put the philosophical ideas into the historical context, presenting the philosophers who invented and discussed them, and into the conceptual system of the so called philosophical disciplines, such as ethics, epistemology, metaphysics, aesthetics, anthropology and ethics.
Depending on the availability of the student, I can assign homework to be done for the following class.

Introduction to philosophy: mind, self, and consciousness
What is the nature of consciousness? Is there a self? Is the mind identical to the brain? Can life have meaning in a physical universe? These are big questions that philosophy can help tackle. Together, we will talk about how to understand these questions more precisely, look at some answers, and learn how to approach both questions and answers using critical thinking tools. Who is this class for? Students who've never taken philosophy, adults who are interested in exploring big ideas, and scientists and entrepreneurs who'd like to learn how to think about these questions in a more rigorous way.

Mireya
Philosophy of Baccalaureate or for adults who want to start.
Philosophy for school age or adults. I am licensed. I love this subject and my enthusiasm is contagious. We will review the topics for which the student has exams or those that the student feels are of special interest. Textbooks sometimes make this subject more difficult and unenjoyable than it should be.

Speed-Reading, Philosophy, Literacy, Literature, Psychology
Here's what I can do for you: - Develop a reading habit (a book a week is not an unreasonable goal); - Teach you how to speed-read so you can read twice, or thrice, as fast without loss in comprehension (speed-reading is really just a fancy name for college-level reading skills, a phenomenon which can be taught and practised without recourse to magical beliefs); - Take you through a tour through the body of Western Classics that Wikipedia defines as a "body of high culture literature, music, philosophy, and works of art ... from Socrates to Wittgenstein in philosophy, and from Homer to James Joyce in literature"; - And finally, be an English conversational partner and personal tutor who does all the usual things to help you enjoy speaking and reading in English (about how English is formally taught, most "dreaded" English tests and exams are really variants of IQ tests that have little to no relations to how a language is learned and acquired).

A-level philosophy tutoring and essay help for students
Lessons involve specific discussions on topics, as well as essay writing advice and checking. We will look at approaches from within the A-level spec, as well as outside ideas to push your grades up. One-to-one tutoring will naturally give an advantage over other students, as well as content for personal statements. I am a young, passionate student of philosophy who when studying A-levels saw an opportunity to give students more accurate, better-formulated arguments to push grades up. After a few sessions, you will see an improvement in writing technique, as well as the ability to formulate original ideas.

Improve your understanding of Asian philosophy with a graduate student!
I will start you off with the development of Buddhism and Hinduism in India, and branch out towards the development of Confucianism in China. I will help you develop an understanding of Japanese Zen, and the relationship that Japan has had with its combination of religions. I've tutored many in the development of religions and philosophies, and it is important that both are intermingled within Asia. I help foster a safe environment to ask questions and become further enlightened within this subject. Let us work together to unpack biases, and develop a better understanding of Asian Philosophy. This is a Asian Philosophy 101 course so no prior knowledge is needed.
