Studying History can seem lengthy and boring at first, it's a lot of information and too vast to even memorise! You may often ask yourself, "is there a shortcut I can use to memorise so many dates and information?"
One thing about History is, the more you think it's difficult, the more you lose interest in it!

My classes are designed to tackle this lack of enthusiasm among students, because I've been through that phase making me more susceptible to students' needs and requirements. I begin with describing the meaning, purpose, and approaches to history answering basic questions like what is the need of studying history when we can instead look at the future! I use a step-by-step method to craft my course into a story-like narrative sparking curiosity among young minds.
Be it American, Chinese, Japanese, Indian or European History, or Modern World History, you name it! I am an expert in South Asian History but my interests reach far and wide. The world is an interconnected space and I will make sure that my students understand the basics of history to tackle with contemporary issues more efficiently..and also ace their exams!

I would like to help with homework or French lessons for children from French-speaking families or not living in London. From initiation to French to homework help until the final year (in French, English literature, history and political science), I am very flexible on the formats of the courses. I have a lot of experience with children. I took care of children throughout my high school (homework help for children from 5 to 15 years old), through high school or not. I do progress reports for parents and am very attentive.

I am a recent graduate from the University of Oxford, attaining a 2:1 in Ancient and Modern History. I can teach History up to an A Level standard, as well as English and Drama up to a GCSE standard. I have a GCSE and A-Level in History, an EPQ in Ancient English Poetry and currently I am studying History at the University of London. I am adept at teaching all areas of History and all time frames.

Alongside my tutoring work, I am a professional playwright and theatre critic. I have studied theatre at the University of York, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and I am a member of the Soho Theatre Writers Group. My plays have been staged at the Edinburgh Fringe, York Theatre Royal and across Fringe venues in London. With my A/AS-Level Drama support classes, we will examine and explore the history behind a number of the key texts on the specifications for OCR, Pearson and EDUQAS:

In classes, we will look at the context in which these plays were written, the cultural impact they had and how to use this in essays to demonstrate your broader knowledge of the set texts. Aside from the plays themselves, it is important to understand the wider world of theatre. We will look at the plays of Samuel Beckett, Jean Genet and Theatre of the Absurd for Dario Fo. The history of Theatre censorship and the Royal Court Theatre is crucial to understanding Edward Bond's Saved.

This class will give you the opportunity to explore these complex texts with a practising playwright, and the expanded knowledge of these plays will give you that edge when it comes to the exam.

I provide A-level and GCSE History tutoring. In classes we will work on strengthening knowledge of the subject as well as practice essay structures/planning and exam technique. Homework will be set when necessary but I will always take into consideration the students' school timetable first. I will happily provide progress reports.

For Bachelor students in History/International Relations/ related subjects the classes are individually designed to address the concerns of the student. This could include clarifying topics/knowledge or essay/exam help for example.
