And the answer is always in the tastes, desires and expectations of the one who is learning. I believe that technique, improvisation, notions of musical composition, theory and analysis should be learned through the music that you like to compose and the music that you already know how to play. And not as an abstract knowledge. The best way to assimilate music is by writing and playing it and facing the challenges that each piece, song or composition offers. It is important to remember that music can be made from scratch regardless of your level or age.

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons.
