I'm Aoife (Ifa), an infant & primary school teacher from Ireland, currently working in a private British school in Chamartín.
As a teacher, I am enthusiastic, adaptable and dedicated to delivering the highest quality of learning. I target lessons to ensure each student’s needs and wants are being met, whilst ensuring enjoyment and interest.
I speak Spanish & English, so don’t worry if you are nervous about your child’s language level.

For 20 years, I trained as a classical pianist with the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Yearly, I achieved high marks as evidenced below in my transcripts. I am extremely skilled in playing various genres of piano as well as musical theory. I have taught private piano 1:1 lessons for 5 years, although for enjoyment, not classically.

Conditions:
- For student comfort, I can travel to your location after 5pm each evening.
- Lessons are 45 minutes due to the fact that 1-hour exhausts the learning process and decreases attention, concentration and enjoyment for children.
- To maintain and develop new skills, children should play the piano independently between lessons.
- I will teach musical theory (reading music, rhythm, how songs are composed), musical literacy (musical chords/ scales, exercises) and songs (sight-reading, songs chosen by student) according to each student’s ability.

Extra information

The first lesson will be an introduction to piano:
- exploring any interests/ questions & getting to know each other
- discovering the physical piano
- learning a short finger exercise for the right hand
- understanding how piano is played.

You will need:
- a small copybook (to track music theory)
- a ring-binder folder (for sheet/ song music which I will provide)

Lesson structure:
1) Warm up: develop finger strength through short exercises
2) Read music: develop music theory/ read music/ sight read
3) Practice 1-3 different songs

I will provide the finger exercises, sight-reading music sheets and songs, but if there is ever a song/ book you would like to try to read, we can include it in our lesson - I want each lesson to come from an area of enjoyment and interest, as this is what creates lifelong music learning and memory!

About Me

I teach singing, piano, music awareness/introduction and solfège.

I live in Madrid and I'm a student pursuing a higher degree in singing (jazz and contemporary music). I dedicate a good part of my time to teaching (music and language) through private online or in-person lessons.

I started giving private lessons to children at their homes when I lived in Germany. During the 2022-2023 academic year, I taught piano to students of all ages at the RedMusik Music School (Igualada, Catalonia).

I studied piano and other instruments for over 15 years at the UGDA and the Luxembourg City Conservatory. After many years of solfège and piano, I obtained the Conservatory's "Première Mention" certificate with the highest possible grade, "Très Bien".

A good music lesson should include not only technique and reading sheet music, but also theoretical and harmonic study, improvisation, recreational playing with the instrument, and ear training and rhythm exercises. I am interested in designing the lesson creatively and adapting it to the needs and desires of the student.

Hello! I am Adrià Acker, pianist, composer, music producer, and director of a new music school located on Ricardo Ortiz Street.

I teach classical and modern piano, as well as music composition and production.

I am a professional musician with a Master's degree in Original Soundtrack Production, a Higher Degree in Classical Composition (Leeds Conservatoire) and a Professional Conservatory Diploma in Piano from the Royal School in London.

I work professionally as a musician, composing film scores. In 2024, I was nominated for a Goya Award for Best Original Score and have received numerous international awards. I also produce artists of various styles and develop my own musical project in my studio in Madrid.
