Regarding my teaching method, I use HSK, A course in contemporary Chinese textbooks, depending on students' preference. Moreover, I think an interesting environment and learning in a fun way are the most important things to learn a new language.
Therefore, I also talk with the students and make the materials through Canva to make it fun in the class.

We may use any textbook you prefer. I can also customize the material for you.
For example, if you love music in Chinese, we can learn Mandarin via songs!

If you are struggling with the grammar or pronunciation in Chinese, don’t worry I will teach you how to learn it in a fun and useful way and let you enjoy learning it.

For the past two decades, I've had the privilege of tutoring in both French and English. My students have ranged in age, background, and origin, spanning children, teenagers, adults, professionals, and even seniors aged 85 and above.

You might wonder why I teach both languages. Well, I am bilingual, with American and Swiss/French roots, and I currently reside in Ireland. My teaching journey began during my time studying social work in French-speaking Switzerland. Even after graduating and embarking on a full-time career, I couldn't bear to give up this rewarding activity. I cherished the opportunity to connect with diverse individuals and assist them in achieving their language goals.

In my teaching methodology, interactivity takes center stage. I employ a variety of engaging learning tools, including photos, newspaper articles, music, videos, and more. My approach is highly adaptable, with a focus on addressing each student's unique priorities. Some seek to refine their pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary, while others require assistance with presentations or speeches for school or work. Some simply aspire to acquire a new language to enrich their general knowledge. I also specialize in teaching younger children, a testament to my educational background and experience.

I have been giving chinese lessons for more than 10 years. Before that, I was a radio broadcaster and a journalist in China, hence I have a perfect pronunciation of the official mandarin, without any accent. For adults, I offer online "Free Talk" classes. These classes are very popular and are ok for any age. I currently have a group class of people aged 60s to 80s. If you want to talk about daily life, news, hobbies, traveling, etc. and enjoy speaking English, then this is a good class to do it. Usually a 1-hour class is best as it gives plenty of time.
