Provide consultation to find out teaching style, goals, weaknesses, strengths and how to improve work for the first meeting.

Proceed to do a mini test for the subjects required to find out weaknesses and build on those specific topics to improve these.

Lesson format will be personalised towards the student e.g. visual learners for students who struggle with focusing will need more interactive questions and powerpoint slides for the lesson or students who struggle with time management need mini tests to improve on speed of answering questions which can progress from mini tests to a larger exam.

Rewards are provided as an incentive for students to keep working hard for their grades and success.

Every lesson will show a detailed printed report to show parents and students areas to improve, comments, weaknesses and strengths.

Every two weeks there will be a record of progress in results too.

I am currently a Biomedical Science student studying at University of Kent and working as an English tutor for international students aged 18-25 and as an 11 plus tutor for a student teaching English, Maths and verbal and non verbal reasoning.

I specialise in science and maths tutoring for GCSE and A-level students, or for anyone looking to further their knowledge in these areas.
I am experienced in tutoring virtually as well as in person. I aim to challenge my students whilst helping to grow their confidence in these areas. I also give revision tips and strategies for answering exam questions.

In the first session, we will put together a list of topics that the student finds most challenging and would like to cover. In the following tutorials, I will spend the first half explaining the topic, particularly tackling any particular issues that the student would like to go through with this topic. In the next half of the session, we will go through exam questions together and the student can ask me any questions that they may have from work set in the classroom. I will prepare the tutorials in advance with the aim of including helpful diagrams, notes and examples to go through in the sessions, I also include a copy of the specification for that topic, highlighting any key points. I set a couple of homework questions after the tutorial sessions in order to consolidate what we covered in the session. I will include my copy of the answers, but if they have any questions or problems we can sort them out in the next tutorial. Where possible, I will also try and give some ‘real life context’ to topics and questions, in order to demonstrate their importance and to inspire my students!

I have been a tutor for the past 3 years teaching both Maths and English to children from Primary School Level to GCSE. I have also tutored Mathematics A-level to a variety of students remotely. I enjoy working with children and young adults especially tutoring as it gives me great satisfaction to know that I have made a difference when it comes to their career. The 11+ (or Kent Test as it is also known) can be a daunting prospect for both students and parents. However, as a trained teacher with years of experience in preparing students for the 11+, I am here to prove it can be really fun to study and there's no reason to feel overwhelmed.

I use a variety of methods to help students learn and prepare with fun games, tasks and both practical and mental activities. To enable me to help my students, I divise a plan for each individual dependent on their learning and understanding of the subject at hand, adjusting the learning and schedule as necessary.

I specialise in tutoring English and history for school and adults too. I teach geography too. After finishing a lesson I usually let the students to teach me what they have learnt. If they cannot or have any confusion about the topic, it becomes very easier to find out eventually. Then I repeat the lesson until they have got clear concept about the topic.After a few days, both of us go through the topic again together. In this way, students usually do not easily forget their topic and they also can have a better understanding of the chapter.

Hi everyone! At the start of each class I will be seeing where we are at, and how we are feeling, and I will be asking for any improvements to make sure you’re satisfied. DON’T BE AFRAID TO SAY ANYTHING! Asking questions is the main thing for a successful future.
I will be delivering revision notes at the end of each class as a recap and will be setting homework. Understanding that you have school work to be doing, it is not required to do it, however, if not completed I will test you in the next class to make sure you understand and if not we will go over it !
For students who are younger - parents are always welcome to sit down with you!
Seeing the pace of every student I will then make my way accordingly through questions and examples for you !
My way of teaching will be altered for each student so everyone can get the best tutoring possible!!

I love working with children, the younger the better! My youngest student started when she was 10 months old! She is now 5 and speaks fluent English and her 1st language is Spanish. I like to teach younger students through play and simple everyday conversations, so that he/she can learn to speak, read and write like a native. As children get older and go to school I can help with school work, homework, revision and test practice. Or we can simply learn additional English alongside school English. I like to make lessons fun, as well as educational. I teach online through Skype or zoom. For younger children smaller lessons like this are better. 30 minutes rather than a full hour. Any questions I am happy to chat!

I mainly teach mathematics, all levels up to A-level, including further maths. I was also a Software Engineer for 3 years so can come up with coding exercises too. I can teach Physics up to GCSE level. My degree was in Aeronautical Engineering (Imperial College London), so I'm particularly strong in engineering related topics, though i also implemented statistical algorithms for my job, so happy to teach stats too. If you need help in Chemistry and biology i can almost definitely help up to GCSE level.
My ideal lesson would be implementing solutions to math, science and engineering problems, in code.

I have tutored in sciences and maths for the past couple of years and have a strong passion for Chemistry. I have recently graduated from the University of Kent with a first class degree in Chemistry and am now working in the field of science. The tutoring began with a small group set up through my secondary school and then progressed to me seeing students outside of school. One of these students has now increased by three grades in maths!!
I am confident in tutoring all areas of Chemistry, Biology and Maths at GCSE level and will progressively work through the course which can be tailored to students needs.
I personally find the best way to learn is a combination between consolidating knowledge and then furthering that knowledge through past papers and analysis of mark schemes. The understanding of what the examiners are looking for is crucial in order to achieve high marks and sometimes students can move up grades with no extra knowledge and purely through the understanding of exam techniques.
The goal is to help students enjoy learning and feel supported in crucial years of their life.
