The Russian language proves to be very challenging for all speakers - even for those born in Russia. However, I have excellent knowledge of the normative literary Russian language thanks to my philological and pedagogical academic training. The major linguistic pair I work with is Russian - English . Although it becomes helpful for the students when I also incorporate references to French or Dutch when needed. As an experienced private tutor and university teacher who understands the struggles of her students, I'm able to find a personal approach to each of them. Our linguistic classes will be enriched with background information about Russia, its history and culture, so that you become even more motivated to master this rich but complicated language. Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.
