Experience / Qualifications
Artistic Achievements/Awards:
I was awarded £250 in 2018 from the Joe Brown Memorial Award at Goldsmiths University, during my undergraduate degree in BMus Popular Music. This was to help me carry out my final creative research project, which engaged musically with nightingales and explored the interconnections between human and bird migrants, via a series of sound walks and songs alongside research.
I was commissioned £1000 in 2018 by the Joe Allard Commission, which annually supports a musician local to Colchester and the surrounding area to create a body of work and perform it. For it, I performed a 2 hour set including a newly composed 30-minute song and musical piece, arranged with a band.
