About Me

I am happy to teach interested beginners of all ages or advanced students!

I am a German/Cuban pianist with 16 years of experience and an early interest in improvisation and composition.

I find it essential and important to integrate my own emotions into classical interpretation and to make the music authentic and un-mechanical. In improvisation and composition, my main interest lies in combining different forms of artistic expression. I explore possibilities for musical communication and draw inspiration from music, dance, literature and other cultures.

Education

A large part of her influence is the traditional Russian piano school, as she learned classical piano there from the age of 6. She later continued her training with the classical and contemporary concert pianists Prodromos Symeonidis and Vladimir Tropp.
This, combined with her early interest in improvisation, led her to decide to pursue further education. She therefore took lessons with a focus on composition and contemporary music from the composers Sascha Dragićević and Stefan Streich. In 2019 she released her first album with strings, electronics and vocals, which was based on the volume of poetry Les Fleurs du Mal by Charles Baudelaire. She then composed several pieces for solo piano, two pianos and various ensembles.

I teach adults of all levels!

I often mentor people who are just starting out, helping them develop their interest in the instrument and play the music they love.

A lot of students come in with anxiety about how good or fast they're going to be able to learn. I work to build a respectful, supportive environment where you feel comfortable developing and learning at your own pace.

For intermediate and advanced students, I teach with a particular focus on fundamental technique through études, and developing musicality.

Oftentimes, as hobbyists, we have holes from our early studies that prevent us from developing later in life. My aim is to help correct that. You should leave with renewed confidence to tackle pieces that have intimidated or eluded you in the past.

If I should describe my piano lessons I would say that they are very playful! The talking and theory is secondary, most important is to play and then see how to listen and adapt from there. My students have fun, they enjoy our lessons, otherwise they don't practise and make progress :)
It is important that our lesson is making you more independant and secure to play and understand music on your own! I have teaching experiences since fourteen years, I studied music education, piano, harpsichord which I will use for your understanding. This year I will only focus on teaching people over 12 years old. If you live 15minutes by bike from me, there is the possibility to come to your home. Otherwise I will be teaching in Universität der Künste or at my home.
