Primary school maths and 11+ test preparation for Warwickshire

I prepare students to sit the 11+ in Warwickshire. I start them in year 5 so they are ready by the September of yr 6.

I help them improve their mental maths skills, they will be able to get to grips with verbal and non verbal reasoning too. The lessons are tailored to each students needs. We do practice exams so they are fully prepared.

I have been teaching for 4 years and although I'm relatively new to tutoring, all my students have gained entry into the grammar school of their choice.

As well as 11+, I teach primary age children general maths so they are ahead in their class.

doctoral student helps you with your homework (mathematics, science, French, English ...) primary and college level
Methodology I discuss with parents in order to find out about their child's academic problems so that I can better orient my lessons. I then ask the child to tell me his difficulties in order to see if the parents and the child have the same perception. When the balance sheet is established I question the student in order to know what he is studying in class so that I can follow the program while trying to review specific points not assimilated. I use his lessons and his textbooks but if I need them I use the material I have. For the next class I can bring back exercises that I have at home or that I find on the internet.

Mathematics courses (mainly) and support
Hello! I offer math lessons for various levels. Mainly for gymnasium / college or cycle students (but also for first semester Bachelor students (for example) or medical students, etc ...). I would also be happy to prepare a course on certain subjects if the student is interested and wants to tackle new subjects or branch of mathematics as far as possible (for mathematical culture or simply out of interest)! I prioritize reasoning in teaching, I think that doing without understanding is not very productive I can also provide support in physics. I hope to meet many students in need, and look forward to it! :) “It is with logic that we prove and with intuition that we find.” - Henri Poincaré. As for me, I graduated and am a math student. I am in Lausanne, but can travel to Geneva on weekends.

Mathematics Course Gymnasium Level Maturity Path & 1st year of higher studies with EPFL Certified Tutor
I help you succeed in your math exams by targeting fundamental concepts and typical examples from your math lessons to prepare you for your graduate studies. Since 2019, I have had the opportunity to support seven mature students (from 1st to 3rd year) and 5 students in the first year of university studies (EPFL and HEC) in their understanding of mathematics and in passing their exams. This allowed me to understand the main issues they were facing and to respond to them effectively. With the mathematics programs of the three years of the Matura School and the first year of graduate school being busy, it can happen that teachers present new concepts too quickly or that you have several projects to submit simultaneously, which forces you to to leave out some important mathematics chapters. _________________________________________________________________ Our goal is to rework the parts of the program that give you the most difficulty: ➡️ Elementary logic and sets ➡️ Algebra Trigonometry ➡️ Geometry ➡️ Descriptive statistics ➡️ Analysis ➡️ Combinatorial analysis and probabilities ➡️ Complex numbers ➡️ Linear algebra _________________________________________________________________ For this, I use the methodology that I followed during my 5 years at EPFL: 1️⃣ Revision of the theoretical notions and concepts of the problematic chapter in order to assess the strengths and gaps in your understanding. 2️⃣ A practical part focused on solving exercises with an emphasis on: ➡️ a clear and complete establishment of the problems, ➡️ evaluation of your methodology. ➡️ illustrative examples. 3️⃣ A review of what has been done and feedback on the positive aspects and those that still need to be worked on.

Economics (Secondary to University levels) and English (Primary level) Tutoring
Economics classes for University level students will be based on student's needs (some suggestions: Econometrics, Microeconomics, Quantitative Economics). For school students, it can involve advanced learning or basic Economic knowledge (aligned to student's needs). English classes will involve writing and speaking practice (based on the student's existing knowledge). I tend to explain things pretty well. I always try to assign homework for further practice. Times can be discussed with me and I do accommodate students based on mutual availability.

In my lessons I will teach you Spanish. We adjust the lessons depending on your goal, level and pace. I teach in English, but my mother tongue is Spanish. In the lessons we deal with grammar and vocabulary. And several practical exercises. Students who need tutoring, just like adults who want to learn fluent Spanish, can come to me. During the coronavirus situation, lessons will be given via skype. For more information, send me a message :)

Private lessons in Mathematics-Chemistry-Biology
EPFL master student, I would be happy to help you (you or your child) for subjects where you have difficulties! At the university, I have been an assistant in Chemistry for the first years of EPFL for several years as well as for a course linking mathematics and electronics, called Signals and Systems. So I am used to teaching and explaining concepts to students with difficulties. I also give private lessons to students passing the Swiss Maturity or the French Baccalaureate. To try to see together the difficulties as well as the misunderstandings: we resume the course together, we do an exercise together and then I let the student do it independently and we review together if he is blocked or if it is necessary to correct. I would be delighted to be able to help you in all matters, both scientific and literary! :)
