Private tutoring in physics, chemistry, and English

From 17 £ /h

Currently a student at the Sorbonne, I also completed a preparatory course in science and technology (TSI) and graduated eighth in France. I would like to help young people better understand science through a different approach than the traditional school system. I prefer taking the time to understand rather than simply memorizing formulas. I believe science should be more accessible to everyone because it's an extremely interesting field. I can also help with English, as I speak it fluently and it has often been a part of my life.

About Me

Student at Sorbonne University UPMC

I'm a pretty good student, but I don't particularly like the traditional teaching methods used in pre-baccalaureate studies; I advocate for less conventional approaches than just memorizing lists by heart

Education

I graduated from high school with a “good” and am currently a student at Sorbonne University UPMC pursuing a bachelor's degree in CSTM. I also completed a TSI preparatory program in Rueil-Malmaison.

Experience / Qualifications

I've already volunteered as a tutor, and I'm also a volleyball coach for the under-15s, known as the M15 team.

Currently a third-year engineering student at ESILV after a preparatory class in Mathematics and Physics, I offer private lessons tailored to the needs of each student.
I can tutor middle school and high school students in mathematics, physics, computer science, as well as history, French, philosophy, and Spanish. I also offer advanced courses in mathematics, physics, and computer science.

My teaching method is based on a structured and proven approach, which I developed and refined during the private lessons I gave in preparatory classes.
First session: reading and understanding the lesson, creating a summary sheet, application exercises, then exercises to do for the next session.
Subsequent sessions: quick oral review based on the completed worksheet, detailed correction of exercises and further exploration of key concepts.
This method allows the student to consolidate their foundations, gain rigor and autonomy, while progressing effectively.

Science becomes much easier when you understand the ideas behind it instead of simply memorising facts. In my Chemistry and Biology classes, I break down complex topics into clear, practical explanations supported by examples, diagrams, exercises, and exam-style questions.

You’ll learn how to solve chemistry problems confidently, understand biological processes step by step, interpret scientific data, and connect classroom concepts to real-life situations. Lessons are adapted to your level, learning style, and academic goals, whether you need help with homework, exam preparation, or strengthening your scientific foundations.

My aim is to create an encouraging and interactive learning environment where you can ask questions freely, overcome difficult topics, and become more confident in science.

I offer private math lessons for primary, middle and high school students, tailored to each student's level and needs.

Having come from a demanding scientific background, with a scientific baccalaureate, two years of MPSI/MP preparatory classes and then an engineering degree, I have solid knowledge in mathematics and experience in academic support.

I have already given private lessons to middle and high school students in France and supported many students in their learning.

Depending on the student's needs, the courses may cover:

understanding and explaining the course;
homework help;
exercises and training;
the preparation of tests and exams;
reviewing concepts not yet acquired;
improving the working method.

My goal is to make concepts more accessible, to progress gradually, and to help the student gain autonomy and confidence.

The lessons are adapted to the school curriculum and the pace of each student.

Hello !

Originally from Texas, I live in France and I help French speakers unlock their English, gain fluency and realize their projects without going through the classic school method.

I use the term "language coach" because my role goes far beyond the scope of a traditional English course. My goal is to provide you with real, engaging practice that is relevant to real life.

Certified by TEFL with several years of international experience (Portugal, Greece, Czech Republic, Malta), I have worked with a wide variety of audiences: companies, large international groups, private schools, alternative colleges and artists.

My approach:
Far from lectures and tedious grammar, I emphasize oral expression, concrete practice and self-confidence.

Good support is about real exchanges and a stimulating environment where you finally dare to speak and write in English.

What we can work on together:
Daily life & travel: Dare to speak without fear of being judged, make your exchanges more fluid, enrich your vocabulary naturally.

Professional & artistic projects: Interview preparation, public speaking, content writing, support for multicultural teams.

Modern & dynamic media: Film clips, music, articles, stand-up comedy, video games, real-life scenarios.

Format: Via videoconference or in person.

Each coaching program is entirely customized and tailored to your current goals. Feel free to contact me through Apprentus to discuss your needs. See you soon!

As a bilingual student, I would like to offer tutoring to students of all ages who are struggling with English. I plan to offer conversation classes and homework help to encourage students to practice English outside of school, or simply to improve their existing skills. I could suggest topics for speaking and/or writing practice, and I am able to adapt to each student's individual needs.

PS: My availability will likely vary over time, so please note that what is written below may not necessarily reflect reality.
