A typical lesson starts with singing exercises and (if requested) theory and sight reading for 10-15 minutes, followed by studying repertoire.

About Me

Páidí has a PhD in Irish Art Song of the 20th Century. He also studied in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, attaining a Masters of Music in 2012. Páidí sings regularly as an operatic baritone, and as part of his Irish a capella group, Celticanto.
Páidí can teach all genres, and particularly enjoys art song and musical theatre.
Páidí is an accomplished pianist (lessons with piano accompaniment) and bodhrán player, and has performed as a soloist all over the world including Beijing, New York, Rome, Paris, Malta, Monte Carlo and Moscow. He regularly performs in Brussels and is part of the La Monnaie chorus, in Brussels opera.

I am specialized in jazz, but I am open to different genres from salsa to pop music. My goal is to keep my students challenged, but not overwhelmed. If you are an absolute beginner, don't worry, no previous experience is required nor reading music. About me: I am Csilla from Hungary, coming to Brussels to play music. I have a National Certification Register as a jazz-musician from Hungary. I have studied with many wonderful diferent teachers, and saw diferent methods. I think there is more than one way to go with vocals, and teaching vocals, but the basics are the same.
Many students has strugles to open up to theyr teachers, and many has with understanding the explanation of the techics. I think a good teacher just show the students the ways they can choose, and do not decide it for them, but giving a strong basic knowledge at the same time, and keep open minded.

My name is Carmen and I am an opera singer. I studied at the PI Chaykovsky Conservatory in Moscow and the famous Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. I attended many masterclasses in Russia, Italy and Austria with Edda Moser, Renata Scotto, Nino Machaidze etc. I was also a soloist in the Vatican Choir.

I offer piano lessons for beginners or experienced pianists (intermediate-advanced level)
Together we will address all facets of piano playing: touch, rhythmic accuracy, musicality, harmony... giving an important place to harmonic listening. We will study pieces from the classical repertoire, but also jazz, song, folk, pop.... We will work on the independence of both hands by taking crossroads such as clapping or improvisation: guaranteed pleasure ;)
Lessons can take place at my home or at the student's home, as long as the student lives in a place easily accessible by transport... A session lasts 50 to 55 minutes

Our body, this instrument - nay, this “nomadic cathedral” with its vaults, its alcoves, ... its multiple spaces of resonance - we are often intrinsically rather than intimately linked to it. I graduated in piano from the University of Aveiro (in the class of Álvaro Teixeira Lopes) and I will soon begin my master's degree in performance at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (with Aleksandar Madžar), while also taking courses with Olivier Gardon.

Throughout my career, I have won prizes at international competitions in Portugal, Italy, and Austria, and I was also a finalist in Spain. As a pianist, I have had the opportunity to perform on stage in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, and Austria.
