If you’re looking for a tutor to help you to learn a new skill/ rediscover playing the violin, or to help students to stay on track while we’re all at home, do get in touch! If you feel good, you play better! I like to approach each student individually, because we are all physically and mentally built differently. We all should leave a violin lesson feeling great! My teachers Mr. Ngai Ho Chau and Mr. Jeffrey Sit Pak Hong, have been my greatest influence when it comes to teaching. I like to approach each student individually, because we are all physically and mentally built differently. Most importantly, we all should leave a violin lesson feeling great! I have a 100% pass rate and my current sudents achieve a merit and distinction in the ABRSM performance grades1-8! A little about me: Born and raised in Hong Kong, my musical journey began at the age of five when I first picked up the violin. With the support of dedicated instructors, I built a strong foundation in technical precision and musical sensitivity, setting the stage for my future achievements. At the age of eight, I had the privilege of studying under Mr. Ngai Ho-Chau, the former concertmaster of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. His mentorship not only refined my skills but also instilled in me a profound appreciation for musical expression and the value of diligent practice. Driven by a desire to reach new heights, I earned my LTCL Diploma with Distinction from Trinity London College at eighteen, a milestone reflecting countless hours of dedication. This achievement motivated me to further deepen my understanding of the instrument. Seeking new perspectives, I pursued advanced studies under the renowned violin maestro Mr. Hwang Wei-Ming at Taiwan SooChow University. There, I immersed myself in the art of violin technique, interpretation, and performance, gaining invaluable experience collaborating with talented musicians. Over the years, I received scholarships to study violin at Taiwan SooChow University and California Baptist University. These opportunities enriched my musical experiences and allowed me to perform in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings. My journey includes performances with ensembles such as the Hong Kong Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, Hong Kong Pro-Arte Orchestra, Taiwan SooChow University Orchestra, and Taiwan Rong-Shing Chamber Orchestra, among others. These experiences continue to inform my approach to teaching, allowing me to provide my students with practical insights and real-world performance techniques. Previously, I taught GCSE Music at Hollingworth Academy and provided violin instruction at The Hathershaw College and Radclyffe School, where I developed a holistic and student-centered teaching approach tailored to each learner's unique needs and goals. Currently, I am dedicated to teaching SEND students at The Peak School, where I strive to create a supportive and calming environment. I often incorporate live violin performances to help my students relax and connect with music on a deeper level. Additionally, I work with private violin students, including young musicians from Manchester High School for Girls and Withington Girls’ School, as well as those preparing for music scholarship auditions at prestigious institutions like London Westminster School. Recently, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Manchester-based artist Emma for her exhibition, Monton in Bloom. This opportunity allowed me to share my music in a creative and inspiring setting.

I am an excellent and experienced Mathematics teacher from Nigeria. I currently live at Rochdale, Manchester. I have an innate ability to teach Mathematics well and impact knowledge adequately. I have thorough knowledge of the subject and can break down complex topics into simpler parts. I explain concepts clearly. I have been teaching mathematics and additional mathematics at the secondary level for 19 years and SAT, IGCSE and A-level Mathematics for more than 15 years. The results of my students have always been admirably excellent. I am committed to continuous learning. I enjoy working with teenagers with a view to bringing the best out of them. I am indeed approachable, accommodating, trustworthy, dependable, hardworking, and responsible. I was the best Mathematics teacher in Nigeria 2016 organized by Cowbellpedia and also won the best Teacher for 2016/2017 session in Dansol High School, Lagos, Nigeria with huge cash award. I encourage my students to view mistakes as learning opportunities and make them feel safe to ask questions. I also make lessons interactive by encouraging the students to ask questions, share their thoughts, and work together with me to solve problems. I incorporate diagrams, graphs, and visual aids to explain abstract concepts. I teach patiently in order to give each student time to understand and help them build confidence. I also know that students have different learning styles and abilities. Therefore, I work with my students gradually with empathy and passion. I make the environment conducive so that students are encouraged to ask questions and explore multiple ways to solve problems. I also emphasize understanding the reasoning behind mathematical rules and procedures, not just memorizing formulas. I provide constructive feedback to help students improve and encourage them to take ownership of their learning. I also collaborate with parents to ensure holistic support for the students. The GCSE Mathematics syllabus is designed to develop a strong foundation in mathematical concepts, problem-solving, and analytical thinking. I ensure that my students are thoroughly taught the topics like algebra, probability, statistics, geometry and measures etc. The GCSE Mathematics syllabus is essential for further education and practical applications in daily life, providing a pathway to A-Level Mathematics and STEM subjects. Names of some of the textbooks I use are;  Cambridge Lower Secondary Mathematics Learner’s books  Mathematics student textbook grade 11  Mathematics GCSE for AQA Teacher’s Resources  New Further Mathematics Project textbooks by M.R Tuttuh Adegun and co  Cambridge International AS and A-level Mathematics by Sophie Goldie, series Editor, Roger Porkess  Pearson Edexcel International A-level Mathematics student books etc
