About Me
Hello there! My name is Vincent, I am a classically trained Violinist with over 20 years of experience in both playing, writing and performing music.
I began the violin at age 6, studying through every grade from initial through to grade 8. I come from a very musical background, drawing inspiration from both my parents with my dad being a violin-maker and my mum being a multi-instrumentalist and music therapist, they were and still, are a prime influence on my musical journey. I have been teaching the violin for the last 5 years and I am keen to expand my student base having just recently moved to North Bristol. I’m happy to teach any age and any level of violin from absolute beginners through to intermediate level, and my lessons are fun, engaging, personalized and contain a healthy balance of practical and theory exploration.
In 2010 I attended Falmouth University gaining a BA(Hons) in Theatre: Performance, and it’s also where I began my band - Imprints. An original folk-rock explosion, Imprints soon moved to Bristol in 2013 and we’ve been performing, writing and recording ever since. We released our debut album Flagship in November 2018. In 2013 I joined an additional band, Bristol folk troupe Heg & The Wolf Chorus. Helping craft violin arrangements, recording and performing on numerous tours across England, Scotland and Wales.
Huge thanks for reading and please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Many cheers!
Vince
