I am an established singer, songwriter, performer and recording artist with 3 chart hits to my name to date. I currently focus on dance material but have worked in a wide range of contemporary genres. I am fortunate to possess a voice that can do almost anything that I ask of it. I have been singing for decades, have been teaching and coaching singers for 12 years now and am keen to pass on my techniques and tips to others. I am a fully qualified teacher who is registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. As a part of my professional obligations, I always have a current Police Check. I was honoured to be nominated for the inaugural ARIA Best Music Teacher award in 2017. I can teach you how to sing with excellent technique so as to protect your voice, to master breath control, to increase your volume and control with ease, to engage emotionally with each piece, to vastly expand your range and your musical horizons. If you would like to learn to sing with the feeling of ‘no limits’, to really sing to the best of your ability, I am here to help. I work in a caring, calm and collaborative fashion, and am particularly skilled at helping others overcome stage fright and vocal challenges. Many of my exercises are unusual - I don't usually use scales, for instance, and do not cover notation - but you will find them highly effective. I tailor my classes to the individual needs and goals of each student. Above all, my classes are great fun and you will feel supported and respected whilst learning to improve your vocal skills. I look forward to meeting you.
