Quality Tutoring of Eleven Plus, Maths, English and Science for students aged 4-18.Translate this text using Google Translate.

What I offer: A Level: Biology GCSE: Maths, English, Science KS3: Maths, English, Science 11+: Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning KS2: Maths, English, Science KS1: Maths, English, Science I am a qualified teacher (DBS checked) and have over 4000 hours of tutoring experience, with students ranging from 4-18 years old. On top of that, I also helped my brother gain entry into Cambridge University for Economics and have seen countless other students succeed under my mentorship. This is because I recognise that there is a process and that if students follow that process, they are guaranteed to succeed. I try my best to make learning enjoyable for students but I also have high expectations as I believe every student has it in them to achieve the top grades. I provide homework for each and every lesson. If students struggle with it, they come to me the following lesson and we go through the mistakes. I teach them the techniques to combat their weaknesses and this ensures they are ironed out, guaranteeing improvement. Students can also bring me work they are struggling with independently. All the students that have come to me have improved and rapidly. Testimonials: 'He helped my daughter get into Forest School. The homework and regular advice really made all the difference. We cannot thank him enough.' - Mr. Atwal 'Starting with him was the best decision I made for my son's education. He did so much better in his GCSEs than we expected. He was on track for Ds and Es and managed to get nearly all A*-B! Imagine what Umar could've achieved if we'd found him earlier!' - Mrs. Ahmed 'Vinay helped me so much with A Level Biology. I got an A (very nearly an A*) and am now studying Dentistry at university.' - Raman

"Math shapes our logic, English empowers our voice, and science fuels our curiosity—together, they build the minds of the future!"Translate this text using Google Translate.

Mathematics is a fundamental subject that develops problem-solving, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking. To make math easy to understand, various techniques can be used, such as visual learning, hands-on activities, and real-life applications. For young learners, visual methods like number lines, diagrams, and shapes help them grasp abstract concepts. Manipulatives, such as counting blocks or fraction bars, make arithmetic and fractions tangible. Games and puzzles turn learning into an engaging experience, helping kids develop a positive attitude toward math. As a teacher, I would use storytelling and real-world examples to connect math with daily life, making abstract ideas relatable. For instance, teaching addition through shopping scenarios or geometry through building blocks helps students understand concepts naturally. Interactive teaching, such as group activities and peer discussions, encourages collaboration and problem-solving. Moreover, step-by-step scaffolding ensures students build confidence. Encouraging a growth mindset where mistakes are seen as learning opportunities reduces math anxiety. Technology and apps can also make learning more interactive through visual simulations. By using these techniques, I can create an engaging, supportive learning environment where students see math not as a challenge but as an exciting tool to understand the world around them.

Detailed Tswana/Setswana grammar class taught by MotswanaTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Detailed Tswana/Setswana grammar class taught by MotswanaTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Setswana is a rich, rhythmic language spoken in Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Belonging to the Bantu family, it closely resembles other languages in the region. I have found learning Setswana through several terrific teachers, thorough textbooks and daily life enriching. Growing up in Botswana, speaking this beautiful and intricate language, or at least making an effort to do so, can transform the way you live in Botswana. I have taught semester-long regular beginners Setswana lessons to children aged 7-12 and adults, with strong emphasis on understanding grammar by breaking it down into “formulas” for how to form tenses and sentences. I teach these and vocabulary through a mix of traditional explanatory lectures, practice exercises and creative games, accompanied by study techniques I have found very useful for learning foreign languages. I have also worked as a trained English tutor, and study linguistics at university, both of which have shaped me to better understand and teach language. Each class will consist of grammar formulas (eg: basic conjugation in the present tense: linking pronoun [for the human noun class group, for example: ke=I, o=you, o=him/her, re=we, le=you plural, ba=they] + “tla” [as in “will”] + verb), some vocabulary words, spoken or written exercises or games to go through together and longer practice exercises to build independent confidence. My teaching materials I use I developed whilst living in Botswana, and have already been used with my aforementioned classes. I hope they can help you too !
