We will work on improvisation as part of this style and as a way to learn to release your voice, without fear of being out of tune or making mistakes. Singing is playing, and my ultimate goal is that you can enjoy while you are singing. Maria is a very good teacher. I am an intermediate level student, so I was looking for someone who can give me nuanced feedback. Maria is really good at doing this, and helps with the tone and style of playing by leveraging her knowledge of violin, but also history of music, and the different styles. She pays a lot of attention in promoting dynamism and color when playing, so you get to make music instead of mechanically going through the score. She is very friendly and easy to communicate. I recommend her.
