Trusted teacher: Hi there! Do you want to learn to sing? Well look no further :-) Within your first few lessons, you will be singing in ways you never thought you could! If you are a beginner, we will unlock and overcome any challenges you are facing with singing, and if you are more advanced, we will work on giving you a wide variety of dynamic and style, to break any habit or tendencies to always sing the same way. No matter your level, we will work to build your own unique voice using your own natural nuances and ways that you emote. We will work to build soul and power to your voice! Finally, I specialize in edgy genres of music such as Rock, Alternative, and Metal! If you are interested in learning to add grit, distortion, compression and/or to scream safely, I can teach you this as well! I also have a huge background in classical, musical theater, jazz and R&B. Riffing and agility with technical accuracy are something I personally love working on, and will share tips and tricks to help you fly through notes effortlessly! Q&A: CAN ANYONE LEARN TO SING? The answer is YES. Depending on physicality, practice and time... everyone in their own time span can learn to sing efficiently and with power and emotion. I THINK I´M TONE-DEAF: Well, guess what? There is no such thing! Not being able to match pitches on command has nothing to do with inability or some kind of ¨disorder¨. It´s about muscle memory... we will learn this. I ALWAYS END UP SINGING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER OR SOUNDING THE SAME WAY... We will bust things like imitation and only singing the same riffs over and over, by building aware of how your own natural voice works and applying it to your singing voice. I HATE THE SOUND OF MY OWN VOICE! Well guess what? So do I! So does everyone, even professionals.. and listening back to recordings.. YUCK! (at first).. Everyone is their own worst critic. However, we can learn to analyze your own with a technical ear instead of a critical ear, as well as focus on how the notes feel, and the better they feel the better they will sound... trust me :) In our classes you will learn to sing with ease and, make what was once a challenge to you, very easy! I encourage versatility because I am a highly versatile singer 😊 We address breath support, sound placement, tone, pitch, muscle memory, flexibility, range, diction, dynamic and performance. I am a very technical teacher and I explaim everything in great detail and you will receive notes in an email each week with directions and exercises from the previous lesson. Overall, I LOVE to work with students of all styles and backgrounds, and will challenge those interested in developing technical skill, or ROCK OUT with and just have fun! I look forward to working with you!

Trusted teacher: How to learn to sing? To sing just and well? To answer these complex questions, I was interested in phonatory mechanisms, with speech therapists and phoniatres, I studied singing with a dozen singing teachers, I participated in many Masterclasses and trained myself in different institutions: first at the conservatories of Vaulx-en-Velin and Mâcon, then at the Regional Conservatory of Montpellier, and finally at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne where I am currently studying with Leontina Vaduva. It is first of all through passion that I want to convey what I have learned. This is felt, according to the words of my students, in my way of teaching which reconciles the rigor of art and the pleasure of singing. In my pedagogical approach, I clearly separate the vocal technique and the art of singing, that is to say the management of an objective mechanism, physical and physiological, of sound production (articulation of the language, management of the pressures subglottic and supra-glottic to achieve a pneumo-phono-resonantial balance), and the shaping of this sound to achieve musical beauty (make a beautiful "legato" line, tempo variations, nuances, etc.). ). When I start with a new student, I first make a diagnosis to determine the range of the voice, the level of resonantial passages, and check the health of the larynx (tonicity, endurance, flexibility). The typical course begins with vocal technique exercises and ends with the work of a musical piece. I adapt my course according to the needs of each one (for example, I can start with a Feldenkreis or Alexander technique exercise, relaxation, breath, or a physical warm-up), but also according to the desires and tastes of the student (the technical part will last more or less long). Considering that the stage is important for personal fulfillment and to set goals in music, I propose to my students to participate in the auditions and group lessons of the music school where I work in Lutry.

Trusted teacher: A TCM-certified vocal instructor and vocal coach, I teach beginning and advanced singers, amateur and pro. I teach principles of healthy, balanced phonation using the TCM approach. TCM is an evidence-based approach to vocal health for speaking and singing, developed by British voice researcher and teacher Allan Wright. It is based on current research in vocal physiology, acoustics, vocal rehabilitation and vocal pedagogy, and caters to all singers, regardless of musical style or aesthetics. I also provide classes to actors and all other voice professionals who wish to train or re-train their voice for speaking or singing. I also offer artistic coaching in my classes, approaching interpretation in full respect of the style in which singers wish to express their artistry, providing them with a toolbox of targeted, effective, playful techniques to help them achieve their musical goals. I like to create and maintain a collaborative, focused and benevolent working atmosphere in all of my classes and workshops. As a singer, I self-accompany on piano or guitar, and I offer singers who accompany themselves training tips to enhance their self-accompanied singing and/or playing. Singers/actors/voice professionals may choose to have lessons either on a regular basis or occasionally, whenever they seek a solution to a particular vocal problem. Each class includes a vocal warm-up, discussion of vocal or musical objective for the class, followed by work on a song or text - or passage from a song or text - which the singer needs technical or musical help with. Classes end with a short vocal cool-down and a recap of what we worked on and what proved most helpful, so that students know precisely what to work on between classes. I was trained and certified in Nantes (France) by Allan Wright, and have been teaching TCM since 2012 to singers who express themselves in different musical styles. I also use TCM in corporate and community settings to help voice professional from all venues. TCM brings about rapid and lasting benefits both to singers who wish to develop a healthy, powerful singing voice, and to singers or speakers who seek relief from vocal fatigue and need to retrain their voice to cope with the vocal demands of their profession.

Trusted teacher: Did you always want to have a great voice? Or do you know you have one, and want to get better at using it? Or do you just want to be able to sing songs at home and enjoy yourself? What ever you are looking for, as long as you want to find enjoyment in singing, I'm the teacher for you. Genres: Pop, rock, jazz & blues, soul, singer/songwriter I've been teaching music for a decade now, and I'm still as in love with it as when I started. I love to see my students grow. Together we look for what inspires you, what supports you technically, and find your path in learning how to sing. We'll work on breathing, tone, style, and the mental game that comes with being a confident singer and regular practice. I focus on giving you a positive learning experience; I'm going to empower you by teaching you step by step, so you know what your process is and you can reproduce it yourself at home or at a gig. If you're interested, we can also work on songwriting and/or accompanying yourself on an instrument. You decide the tempo at which we work, you decide what and what style you want to work on, you decide whether you take classes of 30 or 60 minutes and how regularly you take them. You'll get exercises, sheet music and backing tracks to practice at home. You're allowed to record the class so you can remember everything and hear your progress. If you want to, we can even make a professional recording of you singing. Everything is possible, and everything we do will be in dialogue with each other. Wether you come every week, or every month, it's all up to you, as long as you put in the practice at home you'll make big leaps forward. !! It is possible to work with me on extended vocal techniques like growl & distortion !!

I had an amazing experience during my first singing lesson (ever) with Sharon last week. She made me feel completely at ease and she broke down singing mechanics in a way that was easy for me as a beginner to understand. It was clear that Sharon genuinely cared about my progress and she ensured that I got the most out of our class. The environment she created for learning was very comfortable and enjoyable. I'm really looking forward to continuing my lessons with her!
