I am a professional bassoonist and Principal Bassoon of Teatro La Fenice in Venice, with extensive experience performing and studying internationally. I hold music degrees from institutions in Italy, Switzerland, Germany and the United Kingdom, and have worked with leading orchestras and musicians across Europe. My teaching is based on the same principles that guide my own professional work: a healthy and efficient technique, a beautiful and personal sound, musical awareness and confidence. Lessons are fully tailored to each student. With beginners and amateur players, I focus on building solid fundamentals, enjoying the instrument and developing good habits from the very beginning. With more advanced students, we can work in depth on sound, intonation, articulation, phrasing, repertoire and orchestral playing. I also offer specialised preparation for conservatory auditions, competitions, orchestra auditions and advanced repertoire, with particular attention to performance under pressure and the demands of professional orchestral playing. Whatever your level or goal, my aim is to help you become a more confident, independent and expressive bassoonist.

The focus is on developing solid technique, breath control, sound quality, and musical expression. Whether you're just starting out or want to specifically develop your playing – I will accompany you on your musical journey in a structured and motivating way. The lessons are flexible: online throughout Germany as well as in person in Bremen at my place or at your home.

Hello everybody, I am a professional Spanish bassoonist living in Ghent since 2019. I started playing the bassoon when I was 8 years old and I have always been passionate about the world of music and art because I consider it essential in these times. After studying my bachelor's degree in Spain, I came to do a master's degree with Professor Pieter Nuytten, Graziano Moretto and Jaap de Vries. Afterwards I did a postgraduate course in contrabassoon with Jaap de Vries. I have experience both in orchestra and in teaching people of different ages, because I have been a teacher since 2021. I have knowledge about reeds, how to make them, how to fix them, etc. I consider it an essential part of the instrument. I consider myself to be a passionate person who loves his profession and also to be able to help musicians to develop their career as an artist. Playing music and expressing yourself through an instrument is something that everyone can do! I believe in music being an inclusive and attainable skill no matter your experience. I have a passion for both teaching and playing the bassoon and flute, and believe in creating a positive and exciting environment for students. I have 10+ years experience as a flute and bassoon tutor across multiple schools in Sydney and London, and have recently moved to Berlin. I am able to teach in English only. I work as a freelance bassoonist in London and Berlin, and have worked with major orchestras such as the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Berlin Philharmonic Karajan Akademie and the Orchestral of the Royal Opera House, London. I graduated with a Master’s degree from Guildhall School of music and drama, London. My teaching experience is extensive. I have taught students between the ages of 3-30. I have worked 1:1 with students, and have had lots of experience with groups of up to 40 students across many instruments. I have put many students through practical musical exams and highly encourage them if desired. My students have a 100% success rate in their exams. As I am currently a performer, teacher and student myself, I am very aware of the balance between hard work and having fun. I believe the best way to create a successful musical journey is through a positive and encouraging environment, where students can develop their skills and take risks without fear! I also take highly into account the individuality of students and their desires, so make sure to adjust my approach as suited. If you would like to further develop your musical skills, I offer lessons for competitions, school exams, as well as auditions in orchestras or conservatories.

I have a Bachelor degree in Orchestral Instrumentalist and I'm currently undertaking a Master degree of Music in Performance. As a Music teacher,my goal is to keep students challenged, but not overwhelmed. I assign homework after every lesson and provide periodic progress reports. I adapt my lessons to each student, because each student is different.

Hello! I am Tobias, a bassoonist for more than 5 years, and in this course I will teach how to prepare reeds for the bassoon. From assembling the reed to scraping it, this activity presents great complexity and a huge range of possibilities in the way of preparing it, which is why it is ideal for each bassoonist to be able to make their own reeds and find their desired sound. . This course will allow the student to prepare a reed simultaneously with the teacher (his/her own work team is required), or he/she can opt for a much more theoretical approach, where the student observes the preparation of the reed and is complemented with explanations of the armed and scraping. If the student wishes to scrape his own cane simultaneously with the teacher, he must request two classes on two different days, because the cane needs to take shape for a couple of hours.

I'm a bassoonist from Latvia currently studying in The Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. I have experience teaching the bassoon in a professional music school and I have prepared my students for youth competitions and auditions for youth orchestras. I will also gladly teach music theory for people interested to improve their knowledge or start from scratch. I can also, of course, combine both in one lesson. I enjoy playing the bassoon together with my students and I believe that playing in an ensemble benefits musicians on every level.

I teach bassoon and music classes in general. Within the bassoon course you can specify only the reed construction for the instrument. I can offer different areas of music education depending on the student's interest. I can also teach beginnings of music theory and music theory.
