Trusted teacher: My name is Bertille, I'm 22 years old, I'm an engineering student at Supaéro. Currently in a gap year, I am on an internship in Singapore for 6 months. I offer private lessons in mathematics and physics-chemistry at all levels, as well as homework help in Singapore. I really enjoy teaching and have acquired a solid experience over the past few years. I started giving math lessons, first on a voluntary basis, when I was in high school. After an S baccalaureate (mathematics specialty and TB mention), I completed 2 years of preparatory classes (PCSI-PSI*, at Janson de Sailly), then joined Supaéro. At Supaéro, I gave private lessons and helped with homework for 2 years. Recently, during my 1st gap year internship, I followed a student of terminale S maths expert for 6 months at the rate of 4h/week as part of the preparation for the baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate engineering school competitions, and I had the pleasure of seeing him progress enormously. I am very sociable, attentive, pedagogue, and above all passionate about mathematics and science. I myself took private lessons during my schooling and I like to get to know my students, understand them, and adapt to their needs (theoretical lessons, application exercises, method, help with homework. ..). Trusted teacher: Education: I hold a PhD in Physics and Applied Mathematics from the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen. Focus of my project was modeling and understanding the glacial cycles using mathematical models. During my PhD, I have collaborated with researchers in Applied Mathematics from different research groups in Europe. I also hold a Bachelor and Master's degrees in Physics. I graduated full marks with honours in Physics from La Sapienza, University of Rome. Work & teaching experience: Since my university studies, I have been working or volunteering as a Math and Physics tutor, helping mostly high schools and college students. During my PhD at Copenhagen University, I was teaching assistant in 3 Full Master's Degree courses. I also worked as a high school math teacher. Other work experience include content creation (Physics explanations) and research. What I have learnt from my experience as a tutor: I believe it is only when you are able to explain difficult concepts in a clear and simple way, that you can consider yourself a good teacher! I did not have a good math teacher when I was in high school. I recall almost hating doing my Math homework! Luckily, after taking a few math classes with a really good tutor, I changed my mind completely. And here I am :-) Class description: depending on the student's background and preferences, I usually prepare some material (theory, exercises, examples, etc...) that the student can use to strengthen their skills. I am also available outside the class for homework and support.
