Are you looking to improve your drawing skills or you don't even know where to start but you dream of an art career? Or perhaps you have entrance exams coming up for art school or architecture studies and you want to ensure you will pass? This is an individual course design depending on your request and your starting level. Each course includes lessons filled with instruction information, practice time and homework assignment. You can begin with Level 1 and continue further or choose to start on a specific level. Level 1 - This course is an absolute beginner level. You can hold a pencil and a brush but the starting is so stressful and confusing. You're scared of making a mistake, you don't know where to begin, you're getting lost when it comes to composition or shading whenever you start to draw. I GOT YOU! Those are very common feelings when you start to draw and it can be discouraging, give you a feeling of being stuck or just very dissatisfied with your art. In this course I will guide you through basic traditional art techniques such as pencil sketching, pen and ink drawing, watercolor, and acrylic painting. We will be studying composition, forms, shapes, structure and texture of different objects such as fabric, furniture, animal fur, plants etc. I’ll show you how to achieve depth in your shading, how to understand light, and the effect of fragility of plants or hardship and reflection of metal. I’ll teach you observation, things to look for in the drawing, but most of all I'll give you tools for future independent learning that will save you tons of time while figuring on your own! The key to success is your motivation and time you will dedicate to your homework practice. Level 2 - This course is directed towards people who have some basic understanding of traditional art media techniques such as pencil sketching, pen and ink drawing, watercolor, and acrylic painting. Your art is currently your hobby, but you would like to change it into a career? Know more about art as a business model, get insights into career tips and opportunities. Or do you want to improve your sketching skills, learn to digitise your work, create digital illustrations in Procreate, or combine it all in your own unique way? Level 3 - Advanced. It will focus on your specific desire as an artist and adjust to your skills and technique preferences. During the first introduction skills, I’ll provide some exercises to see how you work and together we will find the way we can work and improve.

I am a multidisciplinary artist and designer with fifteen years of experience. I studied art and architecture at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Columbia University in New York. I teach painting, drawing, digital image and creativity. This class is ideal for beginners but also intermediate students who want to develop their own style. For my personal projects, I work in a wide range of mediums, from drawing, painting and printmaking to digital image and 3D Printing. When teaching, I prefer to first focus on free-hand drawing and painting as this allows for greater spontaneity regardless of the student's technical level. We later explore other methods based on the student's individual interests. I like to teach children and adults via mini projects involving art history references and help them develop narratives around their work. I was talking to a colleague of mine and we were working as art teachers and she asked me, “Doesn’t it happen to you sometimes that you draw something and you can’t make a resemblance between it and your drawing?” I answered her with utmost confidence, “Of course not, the amateur artist is the one who makes mistakes once and gets it right the other time, while the professional can make a resemblance every time he draws.” It was clear on her face that she didn’t like my answer… What made me confident in myself to say these words, and before that the words were actually able to achieve them, is my practice of the theory of measurements and angles, to which I attribute the credit, after God, for making me a professional. Now, what if I told you that someone had a talent for drawing and turned it into a set of steps that you could understand and implement? Do you know what that means? It means that anyone can draw, not just the talented. Let me explain in more detail. The theory of measurements and angles is a theory whose mission is to analyze the mental processes that take place in the artist’s mind, which enable him to draw, and turn them into steps. This means that this theory can make you draw even if you do not have any talent... Yes, as you read, this theory consists of three rules that anyone can understand and then make the necessary effort to apply what they understand. As a result, their well-deserved reward will be to have the ability to draw anything, even if they originally lack talent, so what if you have the talent and just want to hone it? However, it is important to note that this theory is not suitable for someone looking for an easy or quick method that relies on some tricks.
