About Me
Vocal Insight™ offers an in-depth and holistic insight into the embodied voice (with support from the Estill model and Linklater approach amongst other approaches) and allows one to draw out their vocal strengths and weaknesses whilst improving the former via efficient exercises and knowledge. Although the sole focus is based on one's voice, the aim is to evoke and nurture the potential of one's singing voice in order to gain confidence in using it within a public setting.

Each session is carefully tailored according to the students’ needs and all styles/genres are covered which include: Pop, Soul, Jazz, Rock, Ballad, Opera, folk, and Speech.
Deelee utilises a very patient and understanding approach as a singing teacher and voice coach, and her aim is to help any aspiring individual or novice with an interest in voice realise their great potential. In return, the only requirement is patience, focus, commitment, and determination.
Alongside singing lessons and voice coaching, Vocal Insight also specialises in songwriting tuition, basic music theory, and performance techniques.

As an experienced voice practitioner, professional vocalist, and songwriter, Deelee’s work ethic adheres to a friendly, efficient, and patient approach, where much focus is invested into attention, detail, and creative and artistic expression.

The voice and singing sessions are conducted with the use of a piano as an instrumental aid. The main purpose is to provide an effective and pleasant voice coaching service and to also inform students and clients about vocal pedagogy, artistry, and well-being.

Vocal Insight™ is available to all individuals who aim to improve their voice in various settings. The sessions will be conducted on a private 1:1 basis and incorporate the Estill Method and Linklater approach.

The voice sessions have enabled Deelee, as a practitioner, to concentrate on the client's vocal strengths and weaknesses. This would also encompass delivering vital information regarding their vocal health and delivery. She has worked with clients from different cultural backgrounds who have encountered problems with speech, accent/ dialects, articulation, and vocal production. Her teaching method comprises simple and effective breathing and vocal exercises, accompanied by bodywork and limber exercises, in order to encourage clients and students to improve and balance their vocal production through movement and breathing.

As a musician and singer, Deelee has always possessed a great passion for voice, singing, and storytelling alongside vocal pedagogy. She enjoys exploring current themes through continuous research and study to build upon her knowledge and experience as a voice practitioner and firmly believes that this would serve as a valuable contribution to her growth and development as a performer and practitioner.
She is in favour of combining effective methods in order to implement and produce an efficient and creative teaching strategy and aims to utilise her creative skills and artistic abilities to support novices to reach their maximum potential creatively through using the voice as a creative outlet.

Deelee utilises a holistic approach to singing, performing, and creating music, and vocal health operates as an imperative element of her teaching method.

Singing and voice sessions are conducted at her South London practice ONLY.

Vocal Insight™ Est. 2004 with support from the Prince's Trust.

Learn how to draw out the best qualities of your voice through good breathing techniques, support, and intonation. Learn how to grasp melody and rhythm using the Vocal Insight Method which encompasses learning about how the voice works, and provides you with the tools to free your natural voice with an embodied and resonant sound. Learn how to overcome vocal tone issues and gain confidence in using your singing voice to perform!

As a professional performer and sole trader of private voice practice, Vocal Insight, I have gained a wealth of experience in one-on-one and small-group vocal coaching and live performance. As a voice practitioner and emerging voice pedagogue, I would now like to utilise my skills and experience to benefit the learning process, experience, and development of aspiring voice novices. My practice is based on one-on-one sessions, which incorporate bodywork, breathing exercises, and voice work. The exercises also focus on vocal health and well-being as well as efficient singing techniques which adhere to a holistic teaching approach. The piano is used as an instrumental aid during vocal exercises and to also support and enhance the aural and vocal training experience for the student/client.

Let's have a modern fun approach to singing/songwriting/piano! Hi, I'm Elena, and am a Pop Singer/Songwriter and have written for many other artists with songs that landed on the Billboard Dance Club Charts.

I'm a graduate of Berklee College of Music where I studied piano performance, songwriting, and music business. I love helping people find their creativity, teaching in a way that is FUN and applies to the student's goals, and also showing people how to practice efficiently!

My lessons can include:
-Singing (beginners, intermediate, singing to learn your own songs, singing to find your own voice)
- Songwriting (learning to write your own radio hit or alternative songs, maybe you've always had lyrics or melodies but want to know how to progress them? Or for intermediate songwriters, let's edit and strengthen your current songs and take them to the next level)
- Piano (Classical/Pop) - All levels, perhaps you want to efficiently train for an exam, or learn basic chords for your songs, start from scratch, or master your favorite classical or pop piece of music!
- Music technology, Basic Production, music industry mentorship, and theory classes!

Whether you're preparing for an exam or wanting to learn, improve, and discover music, we can tailor classes exactly to your interests and needs.

Songwriting, Piano, Music Technology, Pro-tools, Logic, Classical Piano, Beginning Piano, Intermediate piano, Advanced piano, Pop Music, Pop Singing, Pop Songwriting, Indie Songwriting, Singing-songwriting, Music Theory, Classical Theory

My lessons are designed to be dynamic, supportive, and confidence-building, creating a safe space where students can explore and enjoy singing without fear or pressure. I strongly believe that learning music should feel exciting, empowering, and personal. Whether you are a complete beginner or someone with previous experience, my goal is to help you feel comfortable using your voice and expressing yourself freely while developing healthy vocal habits.

Classes combine vocal technique, breathing exercises, interpretation, musicality, acting tools, diction, and fun performance-based activities adapted to each student’s level, musical taste, and goals. As a bilingual actor and singer with professional experience in musical theatre, live performance, television, and music projects in Mexico, the United States, and Spain, I also help students connect emotionally with songs, improve stage presence, and build confidence while performing in front of others.

My vocal background includes training in musical theatre, jazz singing, gospel music, choral singing, contemporary music, and vocal coaching. Thanks to this variety of styles and techniques, lessons can be adapted for students interested in musical theatre, pop, contemporary music, jazz, or simply discovering and improving their natural voice.

One of my biggest priorities is vocal health. Students will learn how their vocal instrument truly works, how to use it correctly, and how to sing safely without hurting themselves. Understanding your voice is just as important as developing it, and I make sure every exercise is done in a healthy and sustainable way.

I believe every voice has potential, and every student deserves encouragement, patience, and a positive environment throughout their artistic journey. As Gusteau says in Ratatouille: “Everyone can sing.”
