I work primarily with children for a wide range of needs. If you're looking to pass a test, fallen out of love with a subject or just need a bit of a boost then get in touch.

I specialise in maths tutoring. Currently working in a college I am up to date with the subjects that are in the exam. I have worked in education for over 10 years and have worked in primary and secondary schools as well as a college.

My first lesson would be an assessment to find out which areas you are struggling with after this we will make a plan for future lessons. I will give you exam style questions throughout the course. I will keep challenging you and getting you to think of previous questions that we may have covered weeks ago this keeps the information fresh.

In the following tutorials, I will spend the first half explaining the topic, particularly tackling any particular issues that the student would like to go through with this topic. In the next half of the session, we will go through exam questions together and the student can ask me any questions that they may have from work set in the classroom. I will prepare the tutorials in advance with the aim of including helpful diagrams, notes and examples to go through in the sessions, I also include a copy of the specification for that topic, highlighting any key points. I set a couple of homework questions after the tutorial sessions in order to consolidate what we covered in the session. I will include my copy of the answers, but if they have any questions or problems we can sort them out in the next tutorial. Where possible, I will also try and give some ‘real life context’ to topics and questions, in order to demonstrate their importance and to inspire my students!
