Hello there, my name is Ludovica and
I am an Italian singer and singing teacher.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in singing from the Venice Conservatoire (Italy) and a Master’s degree in classical singing from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.

I believe that singing is, above all, therapeutic. If you feel the urge to sing, it's because you have the desire to communicate in a different way.

I’ve been teaching singing since 2016, and I am specialized in resolving intonation issues that prevent you from fully enjoying your voice and having fun while singing.

My lessons focus on developing a solid, healthy vocal technique that respects the voice, all within a fun and supportive environment.

While rhythm is a core element of strong musicianship, developing a solid rhythmic foundation through voice and body is sometimes completely overlooked. In particular, the use of voice and body — key to embodiment — is neither automatic nor self-evident as a way to internalize rhythm, and too often reading rhythmic solfège is the only path explored.

In these lessons, we will practice rhythm through the understanding and application of Konnakol (South Indian Carnatic rhythmic solfège) alongside other techniques and approaches, in order to conceive of rhythm in different ways and integrate it into performance.

We will work on rhythmic freedom and embodiment, internal pulse and timing, subdivisions and grouping, phrasing and patterns displacement, cross-rhythms, odd meters, and different feels. You will come away with new ideas, improve your timing, greater independence in your playing, and obtain a set of tools to practice self-sufficiently.

Be(at) the Rhythm is designed for both singers and instrumentalists who want to better embody rhythm, enlarge their vocabulary of rhythmic concepts, and improve overall rhythmic awareness.

The lessons will be tailored to each student.
I will adapt to your learning pace while keeping you challenged at the same time. You will receive regular feedback, advice, and guidance.

The present course is tutored by a Classical Singer and a Classical Pianist, both study connected to the Royal Conservatory Den Haag.

It is preferred to work weekly to optimize results. The singing, and main teacher, is always present to assure the vocal progression. The piano coach will be present as often as requested by the student/advised by the teacher. The pupils will then have the best piano accompaniment.

The main objective of the course is to work accordingly with the student's goals to give a well-driven direction to our study.

The course it's thought with classic technical basics (healthy vocal benefits) but other styles can be added like the musical, jazz, cabaret, etc...

Each case will have a personalized answer. The teachers' connection to the Royal Conservatory also ensures that complex problems can be solved by asking the highest experts.

> Lesson structure:

✓ The lessons start with body/posture awareness, movement and breathing exercises followed by an individual set of vocalizes that may incorporate some scales, cords and/or improvisation.

✓ After the warm-up, depending on the student's level and goals, some song methods may fallow and/or the repertoire on which we decided to work.

✓ While working on the pieces several kinds of information will be provided:

• The Anatomy of the Voice (body, breathing, vocal cord, resonances, prevention and counseling about vocal disorders);

• Language and Phonetic knowledge of Italian, French, German, English, Spanish and Portuguese (+ strategies to enable singing in other languages).

• Vocal Interpretation, phrase, prosody, colors, coordination with the piano and tools how to personalize the 'message', among others based on appropriate bibliography;

• Drama basics, stage preparation, and fright avoidance strategies.

• Music Theory and History in order to understand the pieces more deeply through a quick analysis, period and style.

✓ At the end of each season (non-mandatory) public auditions can be arranged whenever an artistic space would be willing to receive great voices and repertoire. This works as progressive training for students individually and/or coupled - ensemble skills.

The lessons can be given in English, Spanish and Portuguese. They can be held at the teacher's location or at the student's address.

This class is both for people without any prior knowledge of music production and sound engineering and for people who wish to improve their skills. You will learn how to use computer software for RECORDING, COMPOSING, MIXING and MASTERING songs. You will also learn microphone techniques for recording acoustic instruments and voice.
With this knowledge you will be able to produce music in all genres: pop, hip hop, rock, EDM, etc.

Welcome to my introduction site!

My name is Marta and music has been a great love and passion for my entire life.
Singing lessons are not only an opportunity to learn singing and something new about music but also an opportunity to express emotions, forget about everyday worries, and have fun!
Through music theory lessons you can learn about the structure of music and also develop some very useful music skills such as reading music (sight-singing or sight-reading).

All students who have a specific goal in mind, but also all who do not have any specific goal in mind and want to sing or learn theory just for fun, are very welcome!

Different options for lessons that I am offering are described below and all of them can be modified and adjusted according to the wishes and needs of the student:

SINGING LESSONS FOR CHILDREN (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*)
Singing lessons for children is basically an integrated method that combines singing with solfeggio, developing basic music theory skills. It consists of playing musical games and singing children's songs and those developing intonation, musical hearing, musical memory, sense for pulse and rhythm, all with attention to healthy singing.

SINGING LESSONS FOR TEENAGERS AND ADULTS (individual or group lessons - maximum 10 students*)
During singing lessons, we will be searching for a deeper meaning of the story and different ways of interpretation, with attention to healthy singing techniques, pronunciation, and style. The lessons consist of breathing exercises, and vocal warm-up exercises with a specific technical goal and work on the desired repertoire - meaning of the words and story, vocal technique, pronunciation, interpretation, and style.
My specialization is in classical singing but I don’t mind working on other genres in my classes.

SIGHT SINGING LESSONS (individual or group lessons)
Intense course where you will be learning how to read music at sight. The lessons consist of sight singing only, beginning from the easiest level and gradually learning how to read more and more difficult music. You will develop skills needed for sight singing as well as a certain way of thinking appropriate for sight singing. (There is no technique of singing or interpretation involved in these lessons.)

SOLFEGGIO LESSONS (individual or group lessons, for children from 8 years old, teenagers, and adults)
In these lessons, you will learn how to bring written music to life (sight-singing), how to discover and put on paper the music you hear (musical dictation), and how to build scales, intervals, and chords. This knowledge is needed and examined in every conservatoire and music academy. For some conservatoires and academies, this is an obligatory pre-requirement and elimination factor on entrance exams. It is an inevitable part of every professional music education.

MUSIC THEORY LESSONS (individual lessons)
Music theory lessons can include, if desired: solfeggio, harmony, counterpoint, music form, analysis, and/or other music theory-related subjects. For each subject, we can make a special program, depending on the wishes and needs of the student.

COMBINED SOLFEGGIO AND SINGING LESSONS
Combined solfeggio and singing lessons are also possible for adults, as separate subjects or integrated with singing lessons. In both cases, the duration of each lesson is 90 minutes and the program is discussed and created based on the wishes and needs of the student. (A combination of individual singing lessons and a group solfeggio lesson is also possible.*)

AUDITION TRAINING AND PREPARATION FOR EXAMS (individual lessons)
Preparation for auditions concerning singing and/or music theory includes preparation for entrance exams, regular exams on conservatories, or preparation for ABRSM exams.

Experimentation is an inherent characteristic of electronic music. Nowadays, composing music using technology creates endless creative possibilities that demand the musician/composer to adapt to numerous technical and artistic challenges. Do you like experimenting with sound and making music that does not clearly belong to a particular genre or style? Interested in bringing a fresh perspective and out-of-the-box thinking to your music production? Are you just starting out in electronic music composition and wondering how to develop your own style? This course is just what you need.

In this class, you will learn:
- how to transform sound using analogue and digital techniques.
- how to create sound structures and organise them in a DAW enviroment to compose a piece of music.
- how to record, edit and mix sounds using both conventional and experimental techniques.
- how to use improvisation in both the context of live performance and composition.
- about the theory and practice of free improvisation.
- about the history and origins of electronic music and how it affected the music we listen today.
- how to document and communicate procedures related to your artistic practice.
- how to create an artistic portfolio.

Aspiring musicians with a background in any genre can take advantage of this course. A formal education in music or experience with electronic music composition are not required to follow. However, you should be unafraid of experimenting with sound and music technology! Each class is customized to meet the needs of the individual student in an innovative and flexible way! The course can also serve as a preparation for applying to several Dutch educational programmes related to electronic music composition (Institute of Sonology, HKU, ArtEZ, etc.).

The class is focused on small assignments that help the student develop a sense of orientation and set goals.
Recording, editing, and mixing will be done via the DAW "Reaper," but we can switch to your preferred software at any time. We will use the first lesson to discuss your background, interests, and motivations in order to develop a course structure that is tailored to your needs.

Dominyka taught over 400+ students from 4 years old to 70+ years old. As a teacher, her mission goes beyond teaching you how to sing or play; she instills confidence and encourages individuality.

Important to mention that as a musician: a singer, singing and piano teacher that is currently based in The Hague - she also graduated a music school in violin and writes music.
Over the past decade she graduated from the Royal Conservatory in The Netherlands with Bachelor's and Master's degree in jazz singing and in pedagogical minor studies. In addition - completed a certificate of good conduct (VOG).

Max for Live is a tool bundled with Ableton Live that lets you program your own instruments and effects without writing a single line of code. With this course you will get a better understanding of the components of a synthesizer, learn the fundamentals of some of the most known and recognizable effects and learn some basic notions of programming.

Max uses a visual approach to programming, meaning you do not have to right codes to make your own plugins, instead you connect blocks that each have a specific function into an interconnected network that make a functioning instrument or effect.

By learning how to make your own plugin you will also gain a better understanding of how digital audio works, making you more aware of what your are doing in Ableton and more efficient.

Hi !

I am Héloïse, a french cellist and singer who lives in The Netherlands since two years. I finished to study at HKU Utrecht Conservatorium in june and am now a professional musician and, among other a cello teacher at the Lindenberg Center in Nijmegen.

After teaching music theory for two years in a french conservatory, I realised how much teaching is very important for me and helps me to grow as a musician. I like to adapt to the student and try to find a solution in any pedagogical situation.

Hey hey, I'm a 22-year-old fourth-year conservatory student. I've been singing and playing piano with all my heart since I was 5.
I started teaching singing and piano three years ago (in Dutch and English) and have discovered that I really enjoy it.
