I am passionate about teaching guitar! Over the last 10 years I have been teaching students from ages 7-70 from complete beginners to advanced players with one thing in common - their wish to play guitar more comfortably and have fun while doing it!

I am a classical guitarist with a background in pedagogy, psychology and physiotherapy, my approach - methodical.
While working on the things you want to improve and learn I will also help you develop a deep understanding of the theory and principles that music is built upon. Our lessons will be exploratory and imaginative whilst also underpinned by technical knowledge so that you can enjoy playing comfortably and without pain.

My aim is to get you to where you want to be playing guitar, whether that be for friends at New Year or on the stage at Carnegie Hall!

I have been teaching for 10 years now and have had the pleasure of working with over 100 students aged 6 to 96! After completing my performance degree I have taken two pedagogical diplomas which have really helped me to create my own didactic methods, from beginner guitarist through to professional performer looking to drill their technique or explore different working and musical methods.

I got my Master degree in Lemmensinstituut, Leuven with Raphaella Smits. I am an experienced teacher and I am offering private guitar lessons and group lessons at my place or on location for any level and age, from beginners to more advanced.

Reading, understanding, playing and writing music.
I offer lessons for children and adults, no matter the level. In my lessons, in addition to learning technique and the instrumental repertoire (clarinet), you learn the language of music in all its facets (solfeggio, rhythmics, dictation, harmony, elements of composition).
The method I use varies for each individual student and depends not only on his/her level, but on what interests him/her most and what serves his/her artistic growth.

I am Ezio, I am Italian and I moved to Belgium to continue my studies.
I have a degree in clarinet, I also studied conducting for wind orchestras, musical propaedeutics and also theatre and theatre therapy.
I have worked with youth bands and taught in two music schools in Sicily. I am always interested in new methodologies and everything that can make learning not only functional, but also a real pleasure.

Are you a beginner who has started to learn guitar on his own, and can't see the trees for the wood anymore? Or do you already have some experience and want to learn something new? Then you've come to the right place!

About myself:
I have been playing both guitar and bass guitar for 8 years. I also have a solid foundation in music theory. I took lessons with Kristof Neyens (rock school leuven) for several years, and now I would like to share my experience.

Classes:
Depending on your preference, we can draw up a lesson plan together with individual assignments. I also try to work as much as possible with the genres that you like to listen to yourself, this is of course more motivating (after all, you don't want to try to teach Mozart to a Metal fan ;))

My approach is certainly not like that of the 'music theory' at the academy. From your first lesson you will immediately start playing songs. I only use music theory if it is really necessary or if you would like to delve into it.

Practical:
I follow distance education so I can actually go at any time of the week, online lessons are also a possibility.

My name is Davy, I am 34 years old and have had the guitar in my fingers for 25 years. I graduated from the Music Academy Tongeren for both classical and electric guitar. In addition, I attended 2 years of Conservatory Jazz at LUCA School of Arts Campus Lemmens Institute. I started teaching in various situations since I was 16, both group lessons and individual lessons on instrument and music theory. Sharing my knowledge with others has always been a great passion. That is why I now offer private lessons tailored to my needs where I live in Leuven. This for both acoustic, classical and electric guitar in a range of styles. What you can expect is not a fixed course that we go over from A to Z, but a course that we build ourselves, as it were, focused on your musical taste, knowledge and goal on your instrument. Would you like to learn trumpet, bugle or cornet or are you looking for more depth? I am happy to help you!

I studied trumpet at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and built up a lot of pedagogical skills through my Educational Master Music and Performing Arts at LUCA School of Arts and experience as a teacher. I have worked with students of all ages, it is never too late to start (again)!

The lessons can range from rather technical to musical, exploring different genres. As a teacher I am flexible, everything is tailored to the student. The goal is that you can develop yourself with pleasure on the instrument.
I can also provide support with music theory.

You can bring your own repertoire, I have more than enough study material myself.

Lessons are in the Leuven region, at your home or at a location chosen by me.

Playing the cello is a skill that takes some time to learn. We will get through lots of pieces and do a lot of playing in classes. In some lessons, if necessary, we will learn about music theory as well, which helps us read music better and get to know our pieces better!
