Piano and vocal - singing teacher. All levels are acceptable! We will achieve any level you want
I finished a music school and my speciality was the piano. I did an expanded course that lasted 13 years, 3-4 times per week and, of course, all included : sight reading, notation, music theory etc. Since 7 years old, I went to several national piano competitions all around the world every year until I was accepted at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute. There, I’m studying vocals and music industry in general. I won a lot of first, second, grand prices as marks of my achievements. I’m from Lithuania, I was working there as a private piano and singing teacher for a couple of years. During a gap year I took, I was teaching as well. My mum is a piano teacher, I was in this sphere for all my life. As I was teaching, I had international students from Germany and Italy. It makes me experienced in English language teaching. If you have any questions, I’m ready to answer and to teach you how to play from any level to any level you want. Klodele

She was the baroque strings coach at the inaugural edition of the Novi Sad Baroque Academy, where she presented a mixture of teaching methods incorporated with historically informed performance practice. In October of 2021 she joined the Herne Hill Music Studio in London as one of their tutors. She enjoys teaching students of all levels and ages, and is always willing to exchange knowledge, seeking new exciting and productive ways of learning. She has explored educational psychology, as well as Feldenkrais and Alexander Technique, visualization and different teaching schools. Having studied 2nd-study piano at her music college as a compulsory requirement, she is able to guide children to take ABRSM graded piano music exams too. The students’ happiness, acquisition of new knowledge and musical improvement are the most important things to her. Diana Cummings, the LRAM programme supervisor at the Royal Academy of Music in London, said: “Ana gave a detailed and very well-presented analysis of the baroque viola, the comparison with modern viola and how it could be taught. You have a very analytical mind and think through all the elements of teaching effectively and constructively. You are a most promising teacher, and you are exploring your potential with great enthusiasm. Well done.” …

Voice Teaching (Classical and Musical Theatre) All levels
I am a professional opera singer, currently studying a Master's at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Having performed numerous operas, oratorios and song recitals, I have a in depth and far reaching knowledge of the classical vocal repertoire and a good command of the musical theatre repertoire. Whether you are using it professionally or for fun, I am a strong believer that establishing excellent technique is essential to developing a voice. I work from the premise that no two voices are the same and I tailor lessons to suit my students. We will work on technique, repertoire, interpretation and, where appropriate, language skills. Together, we can work on building a healthy voice and compiling a book of repertoire to help you prepare for exams or recitals. The aim of a lesson is to achieve vocal freedom, which will allow the student to approach repertoire healthily and confidently without fear of the voice giving out. Whatever age, skill level or intention for using the voice, this will ultimately make singing more enjoyable! I have experience coaching choirs and working with young people, particularly with Cambiata North West. I have given masterclasses and singing days, most recently at Saffron Walden County High School. If you would like to organise a lesson, please do not hesitate to contact me via the details on the 'Contact' tab. During the COVID - 19 lock down and social distancing period, I will be teaching remotely via Skype and Zoom. As well as singing tuition, I am also happy to tutor music theory and academic music programmes up to and including A-Level Music. For young people, the aspects of performance and study go hand in hand and I believe it is important to offer support in all aspects of music!

Songwriting & musicianship - Composing on an instrument
Songwriting is a great skill to have and a useful means of expression. Songwriting and musicianship involve using your instrument (guitar or keyboard usually) to create a song (lyrics and music) or piece of instrumental music if you prefer. I will guide you through the theory in as much or as little depth as you prefer, using it merely as a tool to better learn your craft of composition. For less experienced musicians, we can use my own color music system to find and remember where notes are on the instrument. Whether you are already an aspiring songwriter, just beginning, or thinking about embarking on the journey of learning to be a songwriter, these classes can offer you a scaffolding upon which to hang your talent. Together we can flesh out the ideas of your compositions that when realized will give you an incredible feeling of having created your own structure of beautiful sounds.
