I believe it is more beneficial for students to learn how to think analytically rather than just being spoon fed knowledge. This is done by first covering a specific topic and ensuring their understanding, and then having a spirited discussion about the content, finding out what the pupils opinions are. This is the key to excelling in any essay-based subject.

My passion is Religious Studies, having taken it and achieved A* grades at both GCSE and A-level I understand the exam processes you may be going through right now!

In my class I both put the philosophical ideas into the historical context, presenting the philosophers who invented and discussed them, and into the conceptual system of the so called philosophical disciplines, such as ethics, epistemology, metaphysics, aesthetics,anthropology and ethics.

Hello, after having done a preparatory literary class, I am currently in the last year of philosophy and art history at UCL. I have been supporting students in the preparation of the French baccalaureate, philosophy and history-geography for several years. Through personalized support, I help them acquire a solid methodology for the baccalaureate exams. These courses aim to overcome the difficulties they encounter in class as well as to allow them to gain confidence in their academic capacities and their ability to develop complex thinking.

I am a passionate History, Sociology and Philosophy teacher (both ancient and modern). Fluent in Italian, Spanish and English I have taught History and Sociology in Madrid, Barcelona, North Italy and London. I can also teach Politics. Outside of the classroom, I have written and directed school plays, organized the school journals and the olympic games of philosophy.

My students are of differing ages and stages of proficiency, so I have plenty of experience teaching at all levels. I consider myself a friendly and patient teacher, concerned above all else with the all round development of my students' capacity for comprehensive thought. I bring a broad-based interdisciplinary knowledge to a range of subjects. This allows the opportunity to consider new ideas and to place different perspectives in conversation with each other, which is an instrumental skill for improving academic writing.

On the other hand, knowing, for example, what justice is, is a problem of philosophy. A meter will not be able to help us know the answer. We must go about it differently, and in the courses I offer, I will teach you how.
