I specialise in tutoring piano, music theory and music composition for mainly beginner to intermediate level students. My lessons are informative but also light-hearted and engaging, and I always aim to tailor the content to the student's personal interests, whether that be prepping for an ABRSM exam or simply playing/learning for fun.

Alongside classical music, I also specialise in jazz and pop piano so am very flexible and open to tutoring students from all kinds of musical backgrounds. I hold a BA and Masters degree in Music (specialising in music composition) from Cambridge University so can offer guidance for GCSE or A-Level students looking to study music at university (e.g. help with personal statements or advice for interviews). I look foward to meeting you!

Hi! I'm Ben. I'm 24 years old and offer lessons in piano, music theory, music history, composition and orchestration to students of all ages and abilities. I'm passionate about music and love to create a fun, relaxed teaching environment that allows people to be themselves and express their ideas freely.

My approach to teaching is open and flexible: I tailor my lessons to suit your personal interests and always work hard to make sure my content is relevant, valuable and inspiring. I'm classically trained but also knowledgable in jazz and pop idioms, so I welcome students from a wide variety of musical backgrounds.

I’ve been playing guitar for over 20 years - starting off playing acoustic guitar in my bedroom as a young teen to studying popular music at Barnsley College (via University of Sheffield) and BA Music at University of Chichester. Along the way, I have played in various local bands across the UK and taught electric and acoustic guitar at a variety of levels and age groups.

I have been a part time guitar tutor for 10 years and offer my expertise from anyone who wants to start learning to play the guitar, who needs extra tuition for GCSE/A level/etc or who wants to develop their skills and knowledge on the instrument.

I teach in a very relaxed manner and my lessons are very “student driven” - before tuition starts I need to understand what the student wishes to gain from the lessons to ensure that they can get the best out of my experience and expertise. Learn to play the harp with professionally trained harpist! Whether you're a complete beginner, an advanced musician or somewhere in between my harp lessons can be tailored to harpists of all levels and ages. Every pupil is different and learn in different ways and I believe that it is important to identify what each student responds to in order to get the best results. A solid technique is crucial but instead of repeating various technical exercises which can be a bit tedious, I try to identify these techniques within pieces of music, helping them understand how good technique affects and supports their everyday learning, practicing and performing.

Violin lessons with me are individual and catered to the needs of each student. Beginner violinists will discover the violin through a variety of engaging theory, aural and practical exercises. More experienced violinists will be able to unlock new technique as well as discover new and exciting repertoire.

I am a guitar teacher with 4yrs experience teaching both privately and for Eric Lindsey Music in Catford. I am also a professional songwriter, performer and recording artist. I have graduated with a 1st Class degree in BMus Popular Music from Goldsmiths University of London. Her own musical interest currently lies in folk, baroque music and improvisation.

Her own musical interest currently lies in folk, baroque music and improvisation.

Evie has been teaching a broad range of students for the last eight years: those who wish to take graded exams, those looking to explore folk and improvisation, expand their repertoire, or brush up on technique. She also currently teaches group violin classes at a primary school in London.

She has found that encouraging a structured and regular practice at home, if possible with the help of a parent or guardian, is the best way to reach goals and feel confident while playing. Most of all, she encourages students to be open-minded, inquisitive, and ready to listen to a variety of music! Evie is always ready to cater specifically to the needs and interests of the student, and to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. In lessons, she will cover sight-reading, exam preparation, music theory, focused technique, improvisation, standard repertoire, and any music the student may wish to explore on their instrument.

I am a classically trained pianist with a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Piano and a Master’s degree in Musical Directing, bringing over a decade of experience to both performance and teaching.

With more than 12 years of experience working with adults and children, including those with special needs and learning differences, I have developed a teaching style that is both patient and structured. I believe that a strong foundation in technique opens the door for true musical expression, allowing every student—no matter their age or ability—to discover the joy of making music.
