Martial Arts Awareness & Fitness Conditioning (Kickboxing • Mobility • Breathwork)
From 35 £ /h
Build confidence, conditioning, and practical skills through a structured blend of kickboxing fundamentals, martial arts awareness, and strength & mobility work. Each session follows a simple flow: warm-up & mobility → stance/footwork → striking mechanics (jab, cross, hook, kick) → padwork & timing drills → conditioning & core → breathwork & cooldown. You’ll learn safe technique, distance control, simple combinations, awareness and de-escalation principles, posture & core stability, and recovery strategies you can use outside the gym. Sessions are supportive, SEND-aware, and scalable—low-impact options for beginners and progressions for improvers.
The Apefoo Philosophy (Mind • Body • Soul)
Mind (Composure): Train focus before force—breath-led resets, clear cues, and “one change at a time.” We build calm under pressure and decision-making you can take into daily life.
Body (Capability): Technique > power. We groove efficient movement, joint-friendly mechanics, and longevity through mobility and smart progressions.
Soul (Character): Respect, humility, and responsibility. We practice a low-ego, inclusive culture—pace yourself, look after partners, leave better than you arrived.
Awareness First: Self-protection begins with avoidance, de-escalation, and exit. Striking is a skill; judgment is the art.
Simple Systems, Real Progress: Short, repeatable drills; measurable wins each month (skills, conditioning, mobility, mindset).
Sustainable Training: No fads—just fundamentals you can keep. Sleep, hydration, and recovery are part of the curriculum.
Accessible & Supportive: Clear instructions, visuals/Now-&-Next when helpful, and options for different abilities and comfort levels.
Who it’s for: Beginners to improvers seeking confidence, fitness, and practical skills in a friendly, structured environment.
Outcomes: Safer, sharper striking mechanics; better conditioning and core; improved mobility and posture; calmer breathing under effort; and a clear progression plan you can track.

About Me
I’m Fazal, a calm, results-focused teacher and coach with 12+ years’ experience in Functional Skills Maths & English (Entry–L2), study skills, and SEND-aware tuition. I run Apefoo Training, where I share practical strength, conditioning, and skill-building methods from my background as a climber, martial artist, and educator. I teach with a simple cycle: diagnose → teach the method → practise with real tasks → clear feedback and next steps.
I specialise in teens and adults (including ASD/ADHD/SpLD). Sessions are structured but friendly, with visuals, Now & Next, chunked tasks, and—where helpful—assistive tech like Read&Write, Immersive Reader, mind-mapping, dictation, and BKSB. Online or West London in-person, you’ll get plain-English explanations, targeted practice, and measurable progress toward Level 2 and real-world goals.
Languages: English (native-level), Urdu, Hindi, Arabic.

Struggling with core Maths or English—or just need a clear path to Level 1/Level 2 Functional Skills? This 1:1 class is a practical, confidence-building programme tailored to your goals. I specialise in adult learners and teens (SEND-aware) and use diagnostics to build a plan that closes gaps fast.
What you’ll learn (Maths): number, decimals/fractions/percentages, ratio & proportion, measures, perimeter/area/volume, data & charts, word-problem strategies, calculator efficiency.
What you’ll learn (English): reading for purpose, skimming/scanning, finding evidence, planning & structuring writing, SPaG, formal vs informal tone, functional communication.
How we work: short diagnostic → personalised ILP → targeted mini-lessons → guided practice → marked feedback with next steps. I use retrieval practice, exam-style tasks, and simple templates so you know exactly how to improve.
Accessibility (SEND): calm, structured sessions using visuals, Now & Next, chunking, and (if useful) Read&Write, Immersive Reader, mind-mapping, dictation. I’m experienced with ASD/ADHD/SpLD support.
Outcomes: stronger skills for work/study, improved mock scores, and readiness for the Functional Skills assessments.
