My name is Matleena and I’m a classical pianist from Finland, living in Tallinn. I have a Master’s degree from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and I have been teaching piano since 2012. I love teaching, meeting new people and sharing music with the world. I teach students of all ages and I’m always looking for creative ways to make the learning experience interesting. Learning piano can add so much value to one’s life and it’s never too late to start. I will adjust the lessons to every student’s needs and wishes. I have a soloist diploma in violin performance and many years of experience in teaching all levels. I have played in many different professional orchestras in Estonia and abroad.
Recently I moved back to Estonia and would love to continue my teaching here as well. It has brought a lot of joy and excitement for my students to learn the violin and for me as well, teaching is one of the things that I really love to do.
I focus on building up a strong technique, a warm singing sound and personal expression in music.
I have been teaching in Estonian and in English, both fluent.

I specialise in choreography composition tutoring for arts dance studios, theater and dance companies, artistics groups, universities and schools.
My goal is to offer technical resources through exercises and theory classes.
At the of this training the students will learn how to make a choreographic using all the details necessary to get a good artists product.

Interactive classes, built around learning the theory and rules of a foreign language and using these rules in practice, by speaking on various topics.
I studied English and Swedish at the Faculty of Foreign Languages for 3 years. During my 2nd year, I received a scholarship to study in Sweden from the Swedish Embassy. Afterwards, I continued my education in Master's Programme of Linguistics, centred around translations and grammar. Since then, I have been working with both languages in different specialties.

I believe that anyone can learn music and piano in different stages of life with different goals and that this requires a commited, passionate, adaptable and akwnoledged teacher. In my years of education, since I began playing the piano, and later followed the professional path; I’ve seen and encountered uncountable situations being both student and teacher that made me highly value the teacher’s role and aimed to incorporate it in my career development.

My previous experiences in the field include regular private teaching, individual and in music academies during two-three years in Barcelona to students either kids, teenagers or adults (presential and online). I have also prepared music entrance examinations to public schools and conservatòries in Catalonia, covering piano lessons and music theory lessons.
