Trusted teacher: The most important thing within my lessons is to really focus in on what each student personal goals and aims are. For example, if a students end goal is to become better at Jazz guitar this will be our main focus in the lessons. I find that with this method it is far easier to keep the students engaged and passionate if they feel like they're working towards their own personal goals. This also allows me to educate them on all of the "boring stuff" without killing their passion for Music. In regards to my qualifications I have an undergraduate degree in Music from the Leeds Conservatoire, alongside Grade 8 qualifications on guitar and Grade 5 Music Theory qualifications. I play a variety of styles consisting of Pop, Rock, Funk, RnB and Jazz allowing me to tailor my lessons accordingly. I have multiple years experience tutoring through online platforms for students of all ages and skill levels, generally teaching for 30 minutes to 1 hour per lesson.

I have been a past English literature GCSE Edexcel and a A-level AQA board B student and believe this experience has taught me clearly how to provide best to different students needs. The texts I have studied for GCSE are Macbeth, Blood Brothers, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, poetry anthology (Also have done work on Othello and How to Kill a mockingbird) and for A levels my texts studied were Twelfth Night, A Doll's House, Kite runner, Comedy poetry anthology (coursework included Frankenstein and poetry). I'll mainly be focusing on content, exam knowledge as well as exam skills (however, I am open to giving feedback on the NEA coursework elements). I am open to new teaching methods and I will be able to work at flexible hours. My model essays and own resources will also be available for a more engaging teaching method.
